Sometimes you get a record so good you have to remix it.

After Mickey Kojak's debut record, "Feel My Pain" featuring the amazing vox of Tazzy blew up, we figured it was like when the Italians discovered pasta. They didn't stop at spaghetti, and along came other classics like penne and rigatoni. Which is where Sinden, fresh from massive releases on Boys Noize Records, goes in in a way you know the boys will dig (where my acid at), Doods of zee moment POOLCLVB, gets in on the house tip so well we been dining out on this since we first heard it…and Jam Xpress drop what I'm calling their best work yet…...

And just in case you missed the original (WAKE UP) :) ……it's here for you too….

Whiskey Pickle, the little central Texas imprint, has outdone themselves with a staggeringly ambitious output this year. Their massive schedule included next level releases from Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss, Walter Jones, and newcomers such as Xander Milne, Thomas, and Glass Slipper alongside remix contributions from heavy hitters like James Curd, Sleazy McQueen, Dead Rose Music Company, and Jake Childs.

As 2014 comes to a close, Whiskey Pickle wraps up its biggest year to date with a blinding release from Barcelona based producer Playless. The Spanish native -- born Alex Ferrer -- is no novice to the global scene and has an impressive resume under his previous alias Sidechains. Through releases on Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Toolroom, Moda, and Sweat It Out, plus a residency at Barcelona’s most beloved venue, Razzmatazz, the young maestro has earned his stripes in an authentic and organic way: with hard work, perseverance, and talent.

Ferrer’s second artist release as Playless comes in the form of "How Much?" and "Juno". Both tracks brilliantly showcase his production style which blends forward thinking, modern techniques with the fun, carefree spirit of dance music’s humble beginnings. "How Much?" kicks things off with shuffling hats, shimmering piano riffs, MIDI saxophones, and bass drops … the good time vibes are palpable on this one. The B-side, "Juno", pays homage to the sweaty warehouse days of yore with a barrage of 909 percussion, cavernous reverb, and a bass line as 'silky' as Steve Hurley.

Londoner-turned-Parisian and Vulture Music label admin Xander Milne makes his second appearance on Whiskey Pickle remixing "How Much?". He twists the wistful leanings of the original into a pumping, party-jam anthem. Crackling percussion and layers of hype-man vocals bring the energy to a boiling point at the massive, filtered piano breakdown. "Juno" gets a deep and heavy re-rub from Whiskey Pickle stalwart Abstrakt Audio on his 'Warehouse' Remix which transports the listener to a darkened dance floor somewhere on the south side of Chicago.

@Tom_Aspaul is the smooth-talking and seriously entertaining dreamboat making the sort of infectious pop that you really don't mind getting stuck in your head. Wolverhampton-born and London-based, Tom is somewhat of a master singer-songwriter, having also written for the likes of Kylie and MKS (the original Sugababes for the uninitiated). His hugely popular @GRADES produced single Good Together is typically dreamy, tropical and eighties-inspired, leaving us very pleased to present the premiere of @ToyboyRobin's remix of the track. Join the London duo as they take Good Together on an epic night out to their favourite club, leaving it in a euphoric haze in the middle of the dancefloor.

Spanish sensation Wonderboy returns to Media-Blackout for his debut single release 'Chicago Wonder'. Wonderboy's straight up take on house with crisp driving drums entwined within a deep rumbling bass and catchy vocal hook emphasises the urge to dance. It's no nonsense house that is sure to please fans of his recent remixes. 

Flexical's remix follows on from the standout success of his recent releases, that builds to an intense piano fuelled breakdown. Flexical elevates the original to a new level, transforming it with a rolling bass offset by a foreboding driving groove, that will destroy any dance floor, a rework that is equally fitting in a peak time set or at the after hours. Confirming his status as a sound magician on the rise. Not to be missed.

Media Blackout alumni George Freeman reappears on the label with his rework of 'Chicago Wonder'; a driving house monster that is crafted, to satisfy fans of the groovy and sexy beat. By interjecting driving drums, big bassline and a beautiful crafted melodic break, George manages to capture the essence of the original while giving it his signature touch and therefore transforming 'Chicago Wonder' into a feel good vibe that will leave you wanting more. 

Just close your eyes and get carried away by the exotic late summer rhythms of 'Chicago Wonder' that will make you dance, like there is no tomorrow.
