Combining modern club & bass genres this compilation was born in balance between a twisted maze of rhythms, blending the underground’s secrets into a wise book of musical wisdom. Spanning over a range of sub-genres and sounds, KHZVA002 is curated to bring a listening experience like no other, by filtering through dubbed out soundscapes to dark, sub-heavy tones this VA is our most vibrant release to date.

Musique Nocturne is a new label from @BasicRhythm with the sole aim of bringing you forward thinking, dance floor Drum & Bass. The first release is a pair of tearing amen driven steppers by Basic Rhythm that will tear up any dance floor. 

The lead track, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, opens with lush orchestral strings and a charging amen break before launching into a full on sub bass, amen switch up, punctuated with staccato string plucks. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is both dark and light, serious and playful. This one is guaranteed to devastate dance floors. 

The second track, Shape Without Form, opens with hypnotic pads and a two step drum pattern, before breaking down into the first drop with a growling sub bass and two step push and pull. The track evolves into a rolling conga line and amen tear out on the second drop. This one is a weighty dance floor roller for the heads.

Mix 105 is a very special production mix by a Footwork Jungle fave, the UK based producer Lakeway! Making waves in all sorts of ways, Lakeway has a distinctive and versatile sound that encompasses grime, jungle and footwork elements. Making his name via a series of releases for Diffrent Music and sister label SweetBox in the mid-2010s, Lakeway’s hyperactive, hybridised original productions, bootlegs and exclusive cuts quickly struck a chord with some of the scene’s biggest names.
