Okay so, The "Code:" brand pretty much started as a joke among my friends and I. Pretty much when one of us would choose to eat something unhealthy (fast food, deep fried stuff, etc) one of us would say something like "That better be codename for a Salad!" I then got the idea (with help) to name certain beats after different codes. It started with Code: S, the "s" meaning Salad. Then Code F, meaning Fat, Code: SB, meaning Sky Burrito, Code LT, meaning Land Taco and finally EX-F, meaning Extra Fat. It really is nothing but a dumb joke.

Pizza Girl : Speed Demon City

A pretty bad era for me, inspiration-wise. I've lost a lot of my motivation to make music; I've grown considerably since I first started doing this (2017 on SoundCloud and 2010 in general) and have learned a lot in the time doing this.

I felt that my skills had progressed to the point where I could say that I make pretty decent music. Not amazing, not good, but decent...and I'm completely fine with that. I went from making a bunch of recycled noise to something that's pretty coherent and I'll take pride in that. But that was a bit of an issue though, what do I do next? I reached my goal to become decent but I don't think I can really grow anymore without a more professional setting and path. I felt a bit lost, knowing that I've hit a plateau and no way of really passing it...so I just stopped. I felt that I made everything that I wanted to make and that was the end. What I didn't realize was that this was just the end of one chapter and the start of a new one, lol.

The picture that is used for most of the beats here is the profile picture that I used at the time; Fillmore from the Disney series "Fillmore".

Heyo, K here (though my Iruna brethren know me as Lurker K), I've been going through a bit of a creative block so to help with it I've recreated a theme from the MMORPG, Iruna Online. Episode 3 really has some good tunes but a favorite of mine is definitely the theme for the Food Storage map (plus I kept hearing it after farming Iniliba for so long...)

Wow...it's been a while hasn't it? I've been dealing with an extreme case of creative block and nothing I've tried to make has been sounding "right" to me so I took a bit of a break. Randomly, yesterday night my muse woke up and was like "Hey K, I know you just put a notice in your bio that you were going to be on hiatus but I got a beat." and I was like "OH COME ON!!" This definitely isn't my best work but I'm glad I was actually able to finally put something out.

Anyway, this beat is partially inspired by an old ruins-like beat that I have on my beta account (https://soundcloud.com/kbeforethecloud94/abandoned-beat-2022-dnb-ruin-type-beat if you want to listen to it.)

I'm a journeyman artist that likes to make primarily VGM-like Jungle and Hip Hop tracks as a hobby (though, I sometimes delve into other genres occasionally). Most of the beats that I make are pretty serendipitous and spontaneous, leaving me to have bouts of creative blocks, unfortunately. I've definitely never studied sound theory or anything, but I feel like I'm starting to get decent at playing things by ear, lol.

Everything I make is free to download and use for any non-commercial purpose, the only thing I'd like is a shout-out!

I started making beats back in late 2008 on Garageband, moved on to PSP Rhythm in late 2009 and then to FL Studio in late 2012. Has it really been that long...? Man, I'm getting old.

I'm influenced mostly by a mix of the hip hop tracks I heard as a kid back in the late 90s/early 2000s and games that I played during that time. Soichi Terada (the composer of the music for the Ape Escape series) had a huge influence on me.

Secondary influences have to definitely be Rukunetsu, Marcell2aG (Negrosaki) (been a fan of both since 2009!), Amprsand (been a fan since 2010!) and NomedBeats (been a fan since 2014!).
