Another amazing piece of work. A definite collaboration for sure, each part has such a distinctive feel and sound. Solid groove throughout. Impressive as always Ken and the rest of the crew.

Caught it on Josh's page, this one's just magical Ken, love the different flavors of psych guitar from Tez and Stephen, they're in rare form here. Drum track is fantastic as well. I was saying earlier that Tez sounds a bit like 80s/90s david glimore to me.

 The reason why I worked on this work this time is because I want to sing and play with everyone.Therefore, I prepared a simple sheet music with lyrics and chords. There is a link above.

This work is probably one of the "protest songs". If I were to compare it to John Lennon's work, I think it would be "Give Peace A Chance." Yes, there are gems that confront discrimination, oppression, and prejudice, denounce injustice, and sing against war, and this is one of them. And not just to protest, but to sing together to "express your determination, clarify your way of life, question society, and lead to reform".

When winkandwoo released this work, I thought he was a great vocalist, singing a lot of important things and weights in the lyrics of "No need for guns, no need to fight".

And now many lament: "Ukraine is my country. Russia is my country. The country is killing my country." Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced from their homes, saying most people crossing the border from Russia don't want to kill people and don't want to serve this government. There is a movement to stigmatize this movement by branding it as a "traitor" and to use public power to contain it. I think protest songs play an active role here. Their lives and livelihoods are with us.

I hope that this song will help mankind break away from the "gun society" where mass shootings occur frequently, and that it will help all those who refuse military service in Russia. And I hope that this song will help unite Russian citizens against the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops and all citizens who support the Russian Revolutionary Movement.

After a trip to Madrid..I'm amazed of how wonderful the city is

When I posted the other piece in this series "Alterations (B)", I had forgotten to mention how this piece between me and @enigmacurry was more of an iterative creative process than usual. He sent me a short loop which I modified and added a bunch of layered melodic phrases to, and then sent back to him. He then produced the final versions of both mix A and mix B

This was a fun experiment for us, and I was so happy with both versions, that I had to share both of them with you all.

This song began one creative Saturday evening several weeks ago with JJ coming up with it on his organ, piano, bass, and drums. He wrote it with the Eclectic Collective in mind and immediately shared it with the rest of us.
  Ken was the first to jump on it, adding his strong, Masonesque drums. Josh excitedly dove in once he had a beat to play off of. Then, it was time for the guitarists in the band to show off their skills. Stephen laid down the psychedelic, textural guitar you hear throughout, as well as the thrilling solo in the middle, starting around 1:25 and ending around 1:50. Tez did his best Dave Gilmour impression, adding rest of the fiery lead solo you hear throughout, as well. 
  Once it was in the can, we needed a mix, of course, and Stephen was kind enough to work his magic on the production.
  This is a perfect example of a JJ seed that took bloom with the EC. We all love working on his songs. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it

Story time. February seems to bring out my dark side.  Here we have a very bad man about to have his sentence fulfilled. In it, he will receive his final "song". The same "song" that his victims received.

Keeping with the Valentine's Day theme of love, here's an oldie but goldie I wrote this back in 1998, can you believe it, It's another song about my dream girl that I wouldn't meet for many year afterwards. I was divorced for about 2 years and pretty much feeling abandoned and lonely. I remember wanting to write a song in the same vein as "And I Love Her" by The Beatles. A very acoustic number with an accordion playing in the background, you know, very romantic like something you might hear in a Paris cafe! This was one of the first songs I did with Charlie, it wasn't recorded too well since I had an old Tascam 8-track analog recorder and it's distorted quite a bit but I think the melody and lyrics still hold up. (Mastering didn't help this song at all, sorry!) I don't know, let me know what you think in the comments. I've always liked the first line about wrapping myself inside her smile. I produced the video a few months ago for this Valentine's Day. I enjoyed putting it together and added like 10 quick snap shots of beautiful women taking selfies at the end of the video.
