SORROW (part 1)

He climbed down
and arrived at the clearing.

He felt a trembling in the earth below. 
The same earth from which she was derived. 
She began to chip and falter 
and in the gentle rain, she shed tears
until, seemingly, all at once
she escaped her enclosure, and changed. 
Above the rubble, stood a woman
warm in the flesh. 
Free to move and bend. Alive again! 

In her hand, was the key
and wrapped around her neck
was a single pearl 
and she looked up into his eyes
through the gate, and approached. 
She, somehow knowing of his straying
and stays. 
In the rain, the last dust of the key
departed the iron, and rejoined the earth. 

She turned the lock. 
The gates opened, slowly. 
She embraced him. 
The rain stopped 
and he entered her city of light and life.

Jeff and I are happy to present our first live arena gig! Not really, but you can imagine.  This one started when Jeff was telling me about how he and Jo (sonic structures and silent stretches ) were writing some of their poetry in a stream off consciousness style, writing a line and then handing it off back and forth until it was done.   I suggested maybe we try something like that with the guitars.   So we did.  We exchanged ideas until it felt done and here's where we landed.   
This one was a lot of fun to pull together and really just kind of not think about it as we wrote.

I tried my hand @ a hip hop song… From about 4 years ago!! Definitely not my @ strong suit.. alas! .. but I tried! Ha!!🕺🏼My two sons were getting into @ Trap, Drill and beyond. ..thought I would try an Old Skool type song, to just recognize!!! It’s kinda goofy.. and my dropping off point was @ Will Smith..
