I made this set for the dance I love and help create in the week leading up to the confirmation of a new, somewhat nefarious president, and I was super surprised how anxious I felt-- so I channeled it into this set. A FUNdraiser event for the Northern California Fire Victims with DAKINI, MR ROGERS, SHARU and the LEAPIN' LYGRESS

This live mix was recorded at Ecstatic Dance in Nevada City with the sentiment to be a catalyst for releasing the grief from the loss that our community has experienced from the fires of Northern California. (I was soaking at Harbin Hot Springs just a couple hours before it burned down!!!)  Our prayer is for all the elements to come into balance so that we honor the water, air and the earth in addition to the fire that we tend to worship a bit more ;-)

MORiLLO's Odyssey Mixtape - Part 2

The first track from my forthcoming EP "Calls from the Wood". Based on "Italian Rant" from Playford's Dancing Master (1651) , this is a renaissance tune re-imagined as a midnight forest dance with flute, tambourine, gittern (a small antique lute) and deep bass.
