Mat.Joe began as a project between Matthias and Johannes, two young men based in Berlin with a deep connection to music. Back in 2006, Rap, Breakdance and Skateboarding were the passions that kickstarted their friendship and this deep connection is reflected in their music. In 2008, they formed the producer team Twomanics and concentrated on authentic and credible hip hop productions for independent artists.
As of 2024, Matthias takes on his music career as an individual, carrying the legacy that Mat.Joe has built over the last decade. Over the years, Mat.Joe has developed their trademark sound of house beats paired with rhythmic soul and hip-hop elements. The result is deep and dancefloor-qualified, warm and rough. Inspiration is found everywhere between subway rides, late night showers and favorite bars - and new ideas are always on the way, evolving with the always-changing culture of dance music and growing with the artist.

Anja Schneider is a DJ, producer, radio broadcaster, label boss, tireless creative force and mentor; recognised in 2021 with theaward of a Honour Prize by The Berlin Music Commission for having had “an outstanding impact on the music scene.” asrecognition for her work supporting fellow artists and cultural institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Anjacontinues to operate as one of electronic music’s most vital artists, currently focused on multiple projects including her Sous Music record label, the main home for Anja’s own productions and avant guard artists she admires, plus ‘Club Room’ an internationally syndicated weekly radio show and ‘ClubRoom: Backstage’-a thriving interview podcast series.

HICCO is an emerging DJ who enriches the electronic music scene with his unique musical vision. He was captivated by the magic of nightlife and music from an early age.

His musical journey began with a fascination for traditional American hip-hop sound and the regional DJ icons of our club scene. However, HICCO wanted more than just listening to music – he wanted to create it and captivate the masses. With great ambition and dedication, he started DJing and continuously honed his skills.

Inspired by his oriental roots and diverse experiences from clubs in Frankfurt, Berlin, Istanbul, and South America, HICCO has crafted his own distinct sound. His sets skillfully blend elements of deep house, tech-house, and house music, and occasionally infuse a refreshing touch of techno, showcasing his remarkable versatility and refined musical sensibility.

Through his high-energy performances and his ability to gauge the audience's mood, HICCO quickly won the hearts of club-goers. He became a sought-after DJ in numerous clubs and events in the region.

Katermukke isn’t just a label; it’s an evolving sonic odyssey. Each release adds to its dynamic narrative, showcasing a relentless quest for musical innovation. The label seamlessly blends diverse electronic genres—from the hypnotic depths of melodic house and the driving pulse of techno to the dreamy realms of electronica and the infectious beats of indie dance.

Founded in 2011 by the visionary Dirty Doering and Sascha Cawa, Katermukke emerged from Berlin’s vibrant electronic scene as a sanctuary where music breaks boundaries and invites endless exploration.
