The latest edition of our Breaking New Soil series proves that time flies when you´re having fun: This is number 10! Once again presented by label head Gregor Tresher, and this time with two exciting contributions by the man himself, we are proud to announce a very versatile lineup: We have Hybrasil, who Gregor met at a gig in Dublin, presenting a beast of a peaktime track with „Flexo“. Returning to the label is Ferdinando Apicella from Naples, better known as Kernel Key, who delivers another non-conforming techno jam that will go big with all the real Techno heads. Next up we have label favorite Fac3off - returning with not one but two amazing tracks presenting his signature sound - we´re sure we´ll be hearing a lot more from this talent in the future! The Yellowheads, hailing from Spain, had a storming EP release on BNS last year and return in very strong shape with „Caelum“. Last but not least there is Antipolar from Cologne, with whom Gregor recently shared the decks at Cologne underground club „Gewoelbe“ - he´s new to the label and is debuting with a very unique sounding production called „Mandal“. We hope you enjoy playing and listening to Breaking New Soil Volume 10 as much as we enjoyed compiling it.

CIL001 kicks in with a release of Swiss rising producer & DJ John Haden. His very special style has made it into the labels debut EP. Forward going Techno with spherical FX elements comes together with dark airy vox elements. A symbiosis of claps, percussions and synths in a unique arrangement make his two original tracks Different World and Through Walls so special. 'Different World' is a deep and mesmerizing cut complete with tantalizing melodies and a purring bassline produced with the afterhours in mind. Meanwhile, 'Through Walls' sees Haden blend dusky atmospherics with a skipping beat as various sinister effects are ebbed in and out of the mix.

Micro.fon boss DJ Emerson then reimagines 'Different Worlds', generating an aesthetic that resembles a thunderstorm composed of echoing drones and murky voices, making way for a harder remix by label founder YENI, who implements raw kicks and crunchy snares for an energetic conclusion.

Following on from the last Live in Tokyo compilation, John Digweed's next album acts as a celebration but also a landmark release. Output in Brooklyn has been one of the shining lights in clubland with its forward thinking policies and attention to detail with mind blowing sound and lighting. Having been a regular behind the decks since it opened and having released a Live in Brooklyn album over 2 years ago you could say I have a real love for this space. When it was announced that the club was closing and I would be playing the very last set there I had so many mixed emotions from sadness to joy and an overwhelming pressure to deliver a party that a club of that stature deserves. I really put my heart and soul into that party drawing from my favourite tracks over the years. "The set seemed to fly by and there was just a constant sea of smiling faces from the dance floor all night long as the crowd literally savoured every record on that crystal clear sound system. After listening back to the set I knew this album had to come out and not just be another mix online. It deserved to be part of peoples music collection and a memento for years to come. We have managed to licence 6 cds worth of music from the night. I hope you can immerse yourself in one of my favourite sets in NY for years.
