At first listen, 4 Guys From the Future is a classic rock band playing uncomplicated music. But if you listen carefully, you will be hypnotized by their new beat, deeply inspired by both the krautrock and John Lennon’s phrasings.

The 4 guys in the band play in various band constellations, but in this band they have found a way of exploring the inner chaos of our emotional life through music and intriguing lyrics. 

The album Under The New Morning Sun was released October 25, 2010 on vinyl, cd and as digital download. The album is an album of love that takes the listener on an adventure searching for existential foothold through beautiful and catchy songs.


4 Guys From The Future - I’ll Take You Away From The Country

Gate 5 is a record that speaks the language of rock but is still playful and experimental. It explores traditional rock in a new universe with no boundaries. The band hovers collectively among groovy rhythms, simple riffs, and pop melodies, presented in a nine-song collage. The sound of Gate 5 is massive, the adventure a result of live and studio recordings mixed with morsels of field recordings captured by the band on European tours during the last two years. You can listen to a taxi ride in the Swedish city of Göteborg mixed with a Turkish girl’s language course at a bar &amp; grill in Helsinki, Finland.

About their music Thulebasen says:“Our music is simple—the first time we played live was actually the first time we played to- gether. Our music began as pure improvisation but has gradually come closer to proper rock songs. Gate 5 was written and played on stage and is the result of well over 100 concerts in two years, five days in the studio, three weeks of mixing, and a fairly long period rehearsing. The record is our bid on future rock.”

Kala-OK are the latest intriguing signing to quality Danish indie label Tambourhinoceros – home to the likes of Thulebasen, Iceage and Treefight For Sunlight.

The project of multi-instrumentalist Kristian Mondrup, Kala-OK’s debut release Reminiscence of a Bodily Blues is inspired by Mondrup’s time in China back in 2009 and includes contributions from Treefight for Sunlight’s Christian Lindinger, Nicolai Koch (Oh No Ono/Choir of Young Believers).
