Kalandra is a Norwegian/Swedish quartet that blends melancholic Nordic influences with gritty guitars and ethereal melodies, crafting haunting musical landscapes rooted in raw emotion and cinematic depth.

Formed in 2011, the band has spent over a decade shaping a sound that is uniquely their own—building a dedicated studio space, refining their musical identity, and supporting acts such as Leprous, Gåte, Wardruna, Heilung and Eivør.

Following the success of their 2020 debut album The Line and their atmospheric soundtrack for the video game Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands, Kalandra returned in 2024 with their second album A Frame of Mind. Drawing from their years of growth and collaboration, the new record is their most expansive to date—showcasing versatility while staying true to the immersive soundscape that defines them.

A Frame of Mind invites listeners on an introspective journey, reflecting on how life’s experiences shape our perception of the world. The album explores what we choose to include—and exclude—within the frame of our everyday lives, revisiting memories of hardship, childhood, and the growing uncertainty of the future.

With performances at major festivals like Hellfest, Kalandra continues to expand their audience across Europe. In 2025, the band is set to play their first Australia tour this November!

Emma Tollersrud aka Emato is all about techno, ranging from the groovy and playful to the dark, minimalistic and bass driven, where the aim is to create a hypnotic and above all fun vibe. 

She has played at several raves and clubs in the last couple of years, such as Die Zuflucht, Morning Beat, the Monument forest rave, Technokjeller, Blå, Hausmania, Hærverk, Ostara and the Skogen festival in Tromsø, and the dancefloor has become amazingly energetic every time. She carefully builds her sets, energy level after energy level, until you've completely forgotten about time and space ...

London-based Norwegian artist and producer Mörmaid is a constantly exploring figure in the electronic music underground scene and has proven herself to be an unstoppable creative force in the fields between electronic and vocal experimentation mixed with dancy dream pop. Coupled with a strong sense of rhythmic energy and harmonic drive, DJ-like transitions and personal lyrics, her music is as hypnotic as it is energizing. Her debut single «Turn Away» was released 3rd July on Siren Song Records. She can also be heard in projects such as Ben Alexander, Jenny Alien, Tobi Duchampe and Brand New Moon.

For The Love Of Bands is an online magazine and indie music blog launched in 2016. The blog’s main focus is on independent music but also covers a variety of indie, upcoming and emerging bands and artists. The team consists of writers hailing from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and beyond.

Former Pro DJ and lifetime music lover.  Used the SL1200's for years until finally moving into the 21st century with Traktor.
Always been a fan of live instruments and melodic rhythms, both electronic and natural.
I play all kinds of house music, whether it be progressive, funky, latin, tech etc etc., but for the last couple of years I've been focussing on slowing things down (I think it comes with age!) and enjoying the music for what it is.  Now I just play for fun, so no pressure and I just listen and appreciate.
Now getting into a little producing some nice edits and hope to bring out something totally original soon :)
