Berlin-based production duo Mat.Joe, aka Matze and Johannes, make their debut on DFTD with their club-ready ‘Dayum EP’. Mason Maynard makes his welcome return to Kaluki this month with his brand new ‘Reconcile’ EP. Mason continues to cement his reputation as one of Dance music’s fastest rising talents with releases on Sola, Repopulate Mars, Relief and Elrow garnering support from industry heavyweights Pete Tong, Skream, Patrick Topping, Hot Since 82 and Carl Cox. Lead track ‘Reconcile’ kicks off the EP with its infectious 303 inspired acid bassline, shuffling drums and a recurrent female vocal that will get dancefloors moving. ‘Burn’ closes the EP with another acid enthused b-line, lofty vocal cuts and undulating percussion.

August is kicking in hard, the season is halfway gone, and elrow Music keeps tearing up dancefloors across the globe! To keep up the good pace, for our 162nd reference, elrow Music is bringing one of Britain's most interesting imports: Martin Ikin.

With two original tracks, Martin presents 'Rockin Beatz EP' that opens up with
the track naming the EP, in which Ikin starts building the energy with a drum progression with little more than a few FX and vocals on top, to then break into a danceable and groovy track, with a lot of focus around the vocal treatment along the track.

After, we have 'PWR (Original Mix)', a track in which Martin starts with a simple yet catchy drum progression, before breaking into a soulful, techy madness with a clear inspiration on the 90's sounds and vocals. The song maintains its momentum until the end, making this a really powerful track for any time in the floor.

All in all, another great discovery by elrow Music's team, that now becomes part of the big family! Stay tuned this August, as we're about to drop a big one!

I was born in 1982 near the Arctic Circle, surrounded by long winters, wide horizons, and a silence that carried its own rhythm. Growing up in that stillness taught me to listen — not just to sound, but to emotion.

In the mid-1990s, I discovered dance music through artists like Sunclub and Porn Kings, and everything changed. That moment opened a world where rhythm could move both the body and the soul. From that point on, I explored nearly every corner of electronic sound — EDM, jungle, drum & bass, electro, house, techno, pop, trance, and reggae — always searching for new ways to express energy, emotion, and connection.

My music has always reflected where I come from: the contrast between Arctic calm and global pulse. Each track I create carries a piece of that duality — freedom and reflection, chaos and clarity.

Under the name Freddy Spin, I’ve built a catalog that traces my journey through sound. Every record is a chapter in that story — from the high-energy club roots that shaped me to the evolving layers that continue to define who I am as an artist.
