It has been all quiet on the Optimo Music front recently while energy has been devoted to the launch of Optimo Trax but do not fear, there are a plethora of scintillating releases in the pipeline for 2014.

First up is a stormtrooper of an EP from The Twins. We first met The Twins when they were hanging out in Glasgow before they were twins and were simply known as Julienne Dessagne. By the time our paths had crossed in various European capital cities they had fully developed their Twin like tendencies. A mutual appreciation was born and out of that came the suggestion that The Twins might make a record for Optimo Music. The resulting three tracks far exceeded our wildest expectations and we are incredibly proud to be presenting this Twins magnum opus to the world. Haunting, forceful, transcendent music with spine tingling vocals this EP has perhaps a tad more dancefloor capability than many Optimo Music releases but is also a record equally capable of giving your ears a lot of loving at home. 

It was hard to pick one track to showcase the EP but this one is the one that has perhaps been tested out on the dance floor the most and always results in people clamouring to know what it is. The kind of track that completely changes the atmosphere in a club and often results in spontaneous cheering, it has been mixed to perfection by The Twins ally, Superpitcher who will be releasing their debut album on his and Rebolledo's Hippie Dance label.

Expect Twins live shows in 2014.


This will be released on a three track 12" and digital on March 17th 2014. Distribution by Kompakt.

Bertram debuts on Dutch cult label Pinkman Records. Fueled by nostalgia, 'Lights Out' aims to execute industrial old school dancehall and dub within a raw electronics framework. It combines old drum machines, vintage synths, acid bass lines, Sherman-laced vocals by Bertram and the people in his life, and clever approaches to the creative process and production. He believes in a ''it takes a village" approach and worked closely with label head Marsman to iterate the project. The release is blessed by remixes courtesy of C.L.A.W.S. and Chris Mitchell.

Tentacular Kinship is the first release of suspension, gathering the multiple efforts of 18 artists in total, spread between Lisbon, Berlin, and London, united by an invisible yet powerful force of collaborative kinship - the very glue of our sound and practice.
After two years of existence of mina, suspension comes as an anarchic-womb/platform that delivers a compilation of rich and prismatic musicality raging from dreamscape ambient, promiscuous variations of techno, bass breakbeats, funk and dirt, among other variations of experimental electronic music.

It will have its official release on the 23rd of March at the suspension residency at Galeria Zé dos Bois, in Lisbon, comprising live acts, DJ sets, workshops, film screenings, panels, and performances.

The compilation is free. Feel free to acquire, to use, to play, re-edit, mashup, loop, recycle and spread its tentacles. Nonetheless, keep in mind the importance to share your creative sources and artistic references. 
All the donations will revert to the production of our next release.

Tentacular Kinship is the suspension of disbelief and cynicism of a world set in a blaze.

A 2017 archive - 3 years later comes the time to share VOIESX, a 52 pages fanzine initiated by Victoria Renaud with the collaboration of Antoine Melquiond. 

The zine is compiling work from 23 artists, folks and freaky geniuses, part of the venue community and members of the Champ Libre artistic team.

Compilation of 15 tracks, including exclusively material from artists who performed at the infamous Champ Libre venue "24 rue Davoust".

Through his consistency as both Live performer and DJ, and a number of critically acclaimed releases, Kangding Ray showed his ability to keep a genuine artistic approach, while slowly crafting a unique universe, equally focused on emotional response and visceral impact.

Kangding Ray’s music tests boundaries, evolving constantly in its exploration of texture and rhythms, while talking equally to the body and the mind.
From his past as architect, Kangding Ray kept a multidisciplinary approach to art, applying his craft in diverse artistic fields such as visual arts, film scores, audiovisual installations and dance performances.
