ALEXANDER KOWALSKI is someone you should know. Not only is he a resident artist at our club, but with uncountable EPs and several albums on Heiko Laux’ label Kanzleramt and others, he has contributed more to electronic music than many others. To have a separate platform for the darker and harder productions of his, he created the alias D_FUNC. a while ago.
When he approached us with the tracks that are now on the record in hand, we immediately fell in love with the Mills-like energy of them. Perfect drum programming, driving synth lines - two perfect tools for any proper techno set.

The Dirt Mix of Revalism which is included in the digital release package puts the original in a more modern jacket with its stompy beat - another proof of how well Alexander knows what the djs need to please their crowd.

I would say "Circus EP" is a bit groovier than previously. I've been working a lot more with bass. Before, my music was more minimal with a shuffle techno vibe but for this release I didn't do any shuffle. I guess you could call this my new sound. It's in between tech house and techno. The bass is more housey anyway, but the energy is still techno.

It was through these travels that he would become connected with Mobilee for the very first time. In 2008 his first release on Leena; Louder Elvis was released, the collaboration with long time colleague Agnes was well received by DJs and dancers alike. This marked the beginning of Lee's working relationship with Mobilee, which from this point forward only grew. The following year Lee saw his first release on the main label with a widely success collaboration with Anja Schneider. Then that same year The Variable Man, a stellar follow up to Louder Elvis was released with eager anticipation by fans and music enthusiast worldwide. On top of working regularly with Mobilee, Lee continues to work with Cadenza, his recent remix of Rebelski's "The Rift Valley" reaching number two on the Cadenza top ten on Beatport. After a short break from Mobilee, Lee Van Dowski is back with a vengeance. Bringing you Branding You Damned, the EP marks Lee's official entry onto the Mobilee roster with another upcoming release on the parent label in May. Lee's follow up to The Variable Man is another conquest of what we have come to expect from him. This time around collaborating with Dean Demanuele and a guest appearance by none other than Cari Golden, Branding You Damned presents the same uplifting style that he is famous for. The EP is bound to shake up dance floors worldwide with style and grace without losing a slight element of darkness that keeps the record in a well-rounded package.

Munich based duo Cocolores also known as ”The Return Of Nouveau Bavaria” strikes back with a wonderful and stylish UK touched tune on the A side and a moody 808 bassline at the B side which will definitely fit in your next top-notch house playlist.

Cocolores comprises Jason Heath and Manuel Garay, two talented youngsters from Munich half based in London. As Berlin Label Exploited’s latest signing, they combine, at the age of 21 and 22, good looks & style, not to mention talent. Getting love from global runners like Maja Jane Coles, Luciano, Joakim, Ewan Pearson, Trickski and many more, for their debut EP “Heart Quest” which is a blend of 90′s house, with a delectable tinge of urban funkiness, Cocolores continued with their second EP on Exploited called “Vox”.

“A peaktime dancefloor weapon that pays homage to traditional house vibes and yet has a fresh sound of today”(Magnetic Magazine). Inspired by Mathieu Kassovitzs classic “La Haine” released in 1995, the duo tried to recreate that atmosphere of empty urban places and focuse on an aesthetic screenplay (http://youtu.be/3BUrRl_BPsI) The whole project became a huge success. Trendy Blogs like XLR8R quoted the video as “an anxious document of German deep house” or even Germanys Groove Magazine wrote:”…the clip conveys a mindblowing cinematic flair…”. On top of that, the infamous french TV channel Ofive TV is already playing it out.

Summer 2012, Cocolores released their 3rd EP which was a Remix EP from their Debut. In addition to Berlin’s finest duo “Trickski” signed on Suol they convinced Techno and Deep House Mastermind Deetron to remix ”Heart Quest”. Being played out on BBC Radio 1 by Duke Dumont, Deetron’s Remix for Heart Quest is still the 8th best selled Track from Deetron on Beatport.

After touring all over Europe, playing in spots like Watergate in Berlin, Social Club in Paris, or beloved Bob Beaman Club in Munich as well as on Festivals like Sonar in Barcelona or Springfestival in Graz, the duo keeps fascinating crowds all over the world with their unique and outstanding taste of music. Having planned a second Video, Cocolores are definitely the ones to watch with their upcoming Release on Compost Black Label.
