Oliver Schmidt aka Mighty is the mastermind behind the Machia & Velli project. Hailing from the German Hip Hop scene, it took him more than 20 years to finally start dedicating his refined production skills to his "teenage love", the one & only Italo Disco. His debut EP on Bungalo Disco, the Berlin-based label expertly curated by Italo Brutalo (SXDNS091), presents his business card to the Italian genre aficionados and showcases what he is capable of. The “Discorsi” EP delivers four well-constructed originals (five if we consider that “Pentecoste” comes in two versions: Original and Extended) and three vital remixes made with love and prosecco by Moonbootica, Deomid and master Brutalo himself.

Premiered here, the third track of the release is pure bliss! A happy and upbeat theme with a vibrant and positive aura that will put a big smile on your face whenever you listen to, dance to or think about it. With an oh-my-God bassline and a Jesus-Maria-and-Joseph piano layer, “House Of Machia” is a proper Neo-Italo banger devoted to triggering good feelings only. Mau Maioli presents his first album "Where Go", through the nuances of Indie Dance, which combine timbres of Italo Disco, Synth Wave and Indie Rock.

In eight tracks, Mau demonstrates his aptitude and willingness to musically express his feelings lived between the years 2021 and early 2022. With reflections involving the universe of mental health, he seeks with music to show the importance of care for the mind.

In "Brain Voices" Mau begins his journey introspectively and somewhat melancholy. This is a characteristic of Mau and in the introductory track, the artist already shows timbres that will be heard throughout the eight tracks.

A little Italo? In "Hands", Bad search in his Italian descent a little of what the country gave to the world. With the use of clapping samples, the music gives us the feeling of being on some stage.

In collaboration with Lapax, the duo created "Nostalgic Beings". The track mixes not only the timbres of the past, but seeks in nostalgia to express the feelings that both Mau and Bruna are linked. The singer translated her routine as a nostalgic and reflective way and that’s what you hear in music.

The track Title, "Where Go", goes through another side of Mau. Here the artist rescues his influences from Indie Rock. A little slower and melancholy, where you can hear the voice of Mau, who first appears in an authorial work. 

In collaboration with Vasconcellos, the duo of artists unites their energies and creativity for the "Strings of Hope". In difficult times both Rafael and Maurício saw in the song a happy ending and thus created Strings that represent a little of this hope. The song is accompanied by an arpeggiated bass and groovy drums. This combination takes place through one of the most danceable tracks of this work.

Mexican label Kyma Komplex (@kymakomplex)welcomes Persona RS (@personars)& Bojarchük (@domas-bojarciukas).

Persona RS is a Chilean artist, dj and a producer, having played under various names and bands, has released music of different styles, on many different labels, currently living in Madrid.

Lithuanian bass guitar player called Bojarchük, dj and producer residing in Basel, have released music on Quixotical and Bonkers Records, he have forthcoming releases on various labels.

This guys have put together a few exquisite tracks, they recorded bass guitar lines, a bunch of analog synthesizers, unquantized weirdness, some vocals and came up with ‘Relics‘ EP, with some Kraut, Balcanic, and Psychedelic influences in it, and… its packed with three brilliant and raw remixes.

The excellent opener ‘Unchained‘ is a psyched-out cut, dark atmospheres with a vocal that invites to unchain ourselves and shake that body. Next, Roman came with a brilliant version of ‘Relic’ jumbled percussions and trippy synths that are a mind-blowing. Bojarchük version its a heavy tune, with fleshy bass and a mysterious lead that takes you into a dark mystic forest.

Nick Hanzo (@nickhanzo)und das molekuel (@dasmolekuel) flips the track ‘Unchained’ into something more plastic-elastic with looping arps and female vocals, they create a colourful, psychedelic trip. Tkuz steps up with a terrific version of this track too, the solid drums and the fat-greasyjuicy bass he use, create the never-ending mental loop, carefully designed to do real damage on the ‘floor.

Last but not least the Brazilian duo Moozeic with another fine reconstruction of ‘Relic’, with breathy vocals, driving synths and drums all working you into a lather to land this great trip.

Our well-received 'Muy Duro' VA series reaches its ninth edition loaded with acid sounds, hypnotic percussions, booming basses, blips, noises and a lot of energy. For this edition we have the pleasure to present music from Enzio Etchaberri, Theus Mago & Coast2c, Zillas On Acid, Mike Sacchetti & Chas, and ZEA.

The compilation opener is "Vow" by Enzio Etchaberri also known as Etcha. A slow, fat and frisky cut. The percussion takes you up and down, while the atmosphere feels like being inside a sound blender. It’s followed by the collaboration between Theus Mago and the modular synthesis crack, Coast2c. “Dead Piano” a track influenced by rave music and acid techno, with a resonant bass, sharp percussions and an obscure and deep melody.

The North American duo, Zillas On Acid, presents "Proteus", a slow and brutal cut loaded with funky psychedelic sounds, reverberating vocals, a hypnotic bass line and synthesizers born from the void. "The Revenge of Los Tropicales", the collaboration between Mike Sacchetti & Chas, a somniferous and latin cut filled with percussions and psychotropic keyboards that will make you fantasize. Closing the VA is ZEA with "Generator Machine", a powerful and edged cut with phantasmagoric synths and fuzzy vocals out of a science fiction movie.
