Then I moved to DC from LA.

no computers and no synthesisers are used here.(unless you count the casio ct670 used occasionally...is that a synth?)
no part of recording or production is commissioned out.
this is d.i.y. - low budget...self-taught and mostly created in a bedroom.
 technique is not of much concern here. garage music for garage music folks.
...to say it's not for everybody is understatement.

Nick and Emma first met back in 2016 when Nick ran a music workshop for her and a group of school mates. Emma was shy, but the lovely energy of the whole crew running the workshop, paired with bonding through love of music broke that darn ice! - Nick then recorded Emma's first EP a few months later, and the two kept in touch. There was a 9 year gap in the middle where they lived on opposite ends of the globe, (Emma in Canada and then England) here the two explored other avenue's of music in their own bubbles. When Em moved back to Australia in 2016, they put a name to their \ band, heaps good pals...no wait that doesn't sound right...how around real good friends? Nick, I think 'heaps good' is better.  OK we'll go with that. HEAPS GOOD FRIENDS. The two were quickly noticed by Triple J who gave them the honour of opening groovin the moo in Adelaide in 2017. They toured Australia a number of times, Released their first 6 track EP titled 'Hug Me', and the single 'Fold Laundry Together' in May of 2020. Between writing and shows, the two have taken breaks to do life for a bit, returning to the writing room with good experiences and content to throw onto the pile. Their love for crafting quality pop is as strong as ever! They kick off the new year with their latest hit "Up Close And Personal"
