Mid-Air started off as a random tune in raga Harikambodhi in my head while on a flight from Auckland to Queenstown during my honeymoon. I recorded this tune onto my iphone and sent to the band. When we met a month later in Chennai, the song started to take shape. The song features an interesting interchange between the guitar and violin supported by a powerful groove reminiscent of a 60s or 70s classic rock song with a carnatic twist!

This is a song version of an instrumental composed by Vijay Kannan few months back. The lyrics (written in Tamil) and vocals are by Uma Ramasubramaniam.

This song is being uploaded to celebrate the sixth anniversary of Raga Surabhi. This song is a lullaby, a special one at that, set in raga Sahana, the translation of which is given in the song description. Please do share with your friends, family and social circle. Kanmaniye - Vijay Kannan Ft. Uma Ram

This is a contemporary Hindustani Carnatic Jugalbandi with a bandish in raga Jog written and composed by Apoorvaa Deshpande, and a krithi 'Naadaanusandhana' composed by Koteeshwara Iyer in ragam Vaagadeeshwari.

This piece is performed by 2016 IndianRaga Fellows Vinod Krishnan, Apoorvaa Deshpande, Santosh Baynes, Shankar Iyer, Chethan Anant and Karthik Ramasubramanian.

Here goes my version of the saint Sri. Thiagaraja's Krithi - ' Entharo Mahanubavulu ' .
Arranged and Played this soulful track as a tribute to the great saint in conjunction with his 250th Birth Anniversary :) :) !!   Hope you all Enjoy !!

We have played Thyagaraja's krithi Manavyala in the raga Nalinakanthi.
