J.Shore: The Night After is my favorite track from the album. The whole creation process was a small, lucky accident. In February 2011 I was listening to Tsuumi's "Growing Up" album (open.spotify.com/track/1vlWVCUS7B3R4vS3dbErkL) and I'm sure something got stuck to our piano themes as well. Lauri Kallio brought the track to the next level with his amazing guitar skills and live strings gave the finishing touch. I wish making new tracks would always be this easy.

Orion: The main inspiration for me was the eerie feeling of Gustavo Santaolalla's amazing track Iguazu (www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1cpR8H0sno). The Silk label guys said The Night After reminds them of Game of Thrones series but I can't get this wild west feeling out of my head when I listen to this. Even though most of the tracks on "Brotherhood" album include live strings and pianos, this is the only one which was combined of live instruments only. No plug-ins, synths or similar here, only digitally produced parts are a couple of effects.

WTFIA(Dark Lord Audio Orchestral Refix)

Hey Govind is a popular bhajan written by Surdas. The song tells the story of Gajendra the elephant who gets trapped by a crocodile when he went to drink water from the Sindhu river. After trying in vain to free himself, he prayed to Govinda or Krishna to save him. Hearing his call, Govinda comes to his aid.

Hey Govind

I am sure you all know about Naveen Kumar - the legendary flautist who has played for great music directors in Indian Cinema. His iconic flute tune for A.R Rahman's Roja is still fresh in people's mind. So I am a huge fan of him and follow him on Instagram and every now and then he keeps throwing in producer challenges where he gives us a flute piece and we have to reinterpret it. I have done a couple of these and with his permission, I am uploading it on my socials. 

This one is a Christmas themed tune. I wrote a few lines to go with it and reinterpreted it into a pop song. Enjoy

Hi, 

Karthik Sekaran here. Many of you might know me as Chandramouli, and that still remains my legal name. I welcome you all here on Soundcloud, whether you decide to support or not, I am still grateful to you all for making your way all the way till here and checking out my music. 

ABOUT ME:
I am a musician from Delhi, India. Trained in Indian Carnatic Vocals and a keen interest in various other genres, I try to blend in various styles to give the listener something new. I am also the vocalist of a Carnatic progressive rock band called The Iyer Project.

I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and was working full time on environment conservation, rural development and skill development and education initiatives across India for almost 8 years before deciding to quit and pursue music full time. I might have quit that organisation but I am still very passionate about environment conservation, climate change and mitigation strategies, and education and I eventually hope to create some kind of positive impact at whatever scale possible through the support generated by my music. So, remember, when you choose to support me, you are not just supporting good music but also enabling me to implement simple initiatives that will contribute towards making the world a better place.

I hope my music helps you through your difficult times, adds a new flavour to your good times and together we make the planet a better place to live for all beings.
