Piet Møbler is the moniker of a Zurich based artist, traditionally busy in various roles of the local electronic music scene, meanwhile contemplating about the impermanence of those very same occupations. Yet, his love for dance music is stronger than ever. 
His intention behind this mix was to find a worthy place for music that he has accumulated over the last year but could not really process yet.
Piet has been fostering wildly inventive club music with his regular Shifted series at https://soundcloud.com/kraftfeld in his hometown Winterthur.

We have a new mix coming in. This one is by David Fogarty, who runs out of Berlin the label Transmigration, plus sublabel Sacred Stones.
David works for the great recordshop Sound Metaphors and has his residency at Refuge Worldwide radio.
Transmigration released a lot of amazing records the last few years. The Ebi, Hybryds and Projective Vision stuff has been rotating frequently here. This mix is a great representation of that sound.

Prague's Mor Wen is at the helm of this week's Rhythmic Culture podcast. Mor Wen is a part of Glory Affairs - a morphing group of collaborative friends combining various forms of audiovisual art. The collective's wish is to co-create bonds between both friends and strangers through reshaping different environments into temporary multi-genre living rooms. It combines and plays with sound, movement, cooking, painting, sculpting, costumes, performance and mainly light-hearted humor.

The Planeta Za + Ankali resident oscillates between community building, live performance, DJing, keeping the borders between blurred at all times. Among experiences which influenced her practice is a participation in physical theatre, intergenerational movement and cooking workshops, and teaching children in Prague’s Vietnamese cultural centre of Sapa.

Melbourne native Mosam Howieson debuts on Butter Sessions with two original techno cuts. 

On the opening track ‘Napalm (Romance)’ an advanced pulse pushes against intricate bleeps and soundscapes until we are rewarded with an emotional vacation drenched in euphoric pads before being locked back into the grind of the beat. Next up on ‘Brain Scatter’ Howieson goes in for a heavy drum workout bolstered by unique sound design and expertly crafted dynamics.

On the flip, label heads Sleep D step in and expand on the minimalism of ‘Brain Scatter’ with a hypnotic bassline and industrial leaning SFX . Wrapping up the EP we have one of Japans leading producers Wata Igarashi, debuting on Butter Sessions with his signature take on deep electronics...Peak time acid infused techno glory at its finest!

Nathan Surreal makes his debut on AEX, with recent outings on Analogue Solutions and Biologic Recordings he here brings his bright and powerful grooves to a place that feels like home right in the middle of his De Lichting friends. On the b-side Kaap shows his love for traditional dub-techno once more with a stretched out and carefully crafted dub excursion. A wonky beat trip by Denote wraps things up on this versatile and sparkling slab of vinyl.

Hundreds of people worked the production line to make sure everything ran like a well-oiled machine. They went beyond their duty, it had to stay that way. If something were to fall short, technology could replace them in the blink of an eye...

For the inaugural release on their new label Balagan, American duo Joonam - the project of Elon Admony and Nima Khalilian - craft three electro cuts backed up by a remix from electro mainstay Silicon Scally. Following the pair's releases on Cultivated Electronics and Vakant, they decided to create Balagan as a platform for their own music and remixes from friends and artists they admire.

this mix is the preliminary result of a study of various hard/core, psy, tribal and experimental techno elements and the attempt to combine them with pre-existing dancefloor practices and sound signatures. the core idea crystalised in the preparation for a night at garage29, a little biotope in zurich with a fertile ground. the night had to be cancelled but its essence has thereafter further evolved into this current form - and beyond.

Colombian producer, Faunes Efe, stands behind a slew of prolific albums and EP’s released under the Filmmaker project, quickly building a cult following amongst those with an affinity for dystopian electronics steeped in an alluring, seductive darkness. From earlier self-released works such as ‘Visceral’, a 10-track full length work modestly described in Efe’s own words as the “First occult-orientated soundtrack from an experimental lost film”, to the 808-shots of ‘Nocturnal’ and later with the grainy, low-fi electro of ‘Wetwork’. Each successive release proves Efe’s capacity to execute productions of magnitude across the electronic spectrum, yielding body moving music from a small arsenal of honed hardware.

Filmmaker’s material derives from an unadulterated exploration of the sonic realms, utilising multiple formats and artistic mediums; documented through a series of original cover artworks and short films created by Efe. In the space of a year since its inception, Efe began touring as a live artist under the Filmmaker project, from his home-base in Medellin, to clubs and spaces throughout the Americas and Europe. 2019 became a defining period for Efe’s musical trajectory, with the release of the acclaimed ‘The Love Market’ LP on Berlin-based Detriti Records and later landing on esteemed UK label, Opal Tapes with his 6-track ‘Unregulated’ EP, followed by the 7-track dark wave masterclass ‘Noir Times’ EP on Valencia-based, HC Records.
