Nein Rodere is the solo project of David Roeder, an artist, musician and mental health worker based in Berlin. Texture and ad hoc expression make up the foundation of his practice, emphasizing the space where inner and outer world(s) collide. In the last 20 years he played in various bands, many of which worked with loose musical structures. After a few Nein Rodere cassettes, a Lp of old and new material is set to be released early 2022 by Horn of Plenty.

Bobby Would - STYX
Messing around with Greek gods can be dangerous. It might cause curses far beyond the physics. Bobby Would choose “STYX” as the title of his latest album. It links to a swampy zone in Greek mythology, where STYX is a heavenliness, and a river, that forms the boundary between Earth and the Underworld. Bobby Would says, “Time is only currency”. STYX is the place, where no currency exists. It absorbs all living, while creating new. Bobby Would, whose emotive Low Company releases distributed unfussy, magnetic, yet melodic serenades, that injected lo-fi guitar pop new drama orbs, created two 13-minute-long tape sides under the “STYX” guidance, that work against time while creating some. Like a lullaby, that loops in your dreams forever, each side features short, yet endless songs, stranded in a zone, where light and darkness form a bizarre union, that glooms eternally. Driven by guitar melodies of delicate beauty, that drift fluently from silky weeping pop to otherworldly psychedelics, he croons monotone poetry, that floats river-like into the unconscious of its receiver, just to create a muddy zone for new utopias. A short new vital sign full of miraculous powers by the Vienna based artist, that welcomes all into a twilight zone of drone punk, garage wave, velvet surf-riffs, and all that dusty rock ‘n’ roll fuzz. Ferryman netherworld music, made for those need the curse of a new mythological sign.

Doris als Musikerin. 
Dass Doris tödlich ist, ist ihr selbst gar nicht so klar. Denn sie liebt eigentlich alle Menschen. Sie war sozusagen auf einem humanistischen Gymnasium, wo sie natürlich auch Musikunterricht hatte. Musik mag sie gerne, wie alles. Ob sie jetzt gar kein Instrument oder alle beherrscht, ist egal; sie findet es toll, wenn Menschen Musik machen. Doris versteht sich nicht direkt als Musikerin; das würde sie als eine Einschränkung für sich sehen. Zum Glück gibt es so viele die das Musikmachen für sie erledigen. Trotzdem ist sie keine Dirigentin. Doris singt ganz gerne, ihre Lieblingsinstrumente sind Sirenen.

That Doris is deadly, is also for herself not so clear. She actually loves all people. She was, so to say, on a humanistic high school where she, of course, also had music lessons. She likes music, as she likes everything. It does not matter at all if she does not master any instrument or all; she enjoys when people make music. Doris does not see herself as a musician; she would see that as a restriction. Luckily, there are so many who do the music making for her. Nevertheless, she is not a conductor. Doris loves to sing, her favorite instruments are sirens.

Releasing Chilean psych-folk, Japanese disco rock bands and Arthur Russell affiliate Nirosta Steel on the gone-to-soon Hollie Records, Sundae now operates Idle Press, reissuing Pitch's no-wave classic with a stellar Tolouse Low Trax rework. His sentimental compilation Sky Girl, selected with fellow Frenchman Julien Dechery, has become one of the most essential albums in years and there's of course his regular NTS1 radioshow No Weapon Is Absolute, co-hosted with Cosmo Vitelli.
