It's about time again, our eighth compilation finally sees the light of day. It is peppered with wonderful pearls from the most diverse styles of the downtempo universe and, as always, is intended to reflect the diversity of our favorite genre.

Again, we tried to find the right mix between friends who have been with us for a long time and have been shaping the downtempo scene for years, paired with a large number of newcomers who convinced us with their sound quality and approach to production.

The compilation was mastered by our engineer of trust Haunted Water and the signature artwork was contributed as always by Kilian Van De Water. Enjoy listening.

The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. Pulli & Chomba are undoubtedly experts of Downtempo music. Their sound style is powerful, driving and melodic at the same time. They seem predestined to remix a master of his craft like Joe Carl. While staying true to the original, they add their own touch to this interpretation of „Days Are Gone“. The result is a harmonious mix that is a pleasure to listen to. Kamai Music happily presents a wonderful four-track EP from @pullichomba entitled "Imaginaria," with two stellar remixes from Thommie G (@thomas-gaarthuis) and bepo (@bepo_daune). The title track is a deep melodic journey that skillfully blends powerful vocals with expressive bass and synth sounds. "Nocturna's" deep driving energy and clean percussion push the boundaries of downtempo and will find its place nicely on the dance floor. Thommie G ups the energy level with his rework of "Nocturna" and delivers a deep progressive masterpiece. Rounding out the release, bepo's remix of "Imaginaria" has a delightfully deep, after hours vibe with a pinch of funkiness to keep your feet tapping.

"Imaginaria" comes from the Latin "Imaginarious." This EP is an ode to imagination and dreams, a celebration of creativity, and a reminder that all journeys begin in the mind.

Everyone gets confused sometimes. There can be various reasons for this. Sometimes it´s unlikely events, sometimes it´s a lack of concentration. But sometimes it´s also the dubious views of some people that confuse us and leave us with a question mark. 

It is precisely this feeling that Kolja picks up on in his new EP “Acid Schwurbler” and transports it into an audible experience. His sounds are often on the edge of comprehensibility, but at the same time they arouse interest because they are difficult to categorize. 

Or in other words: it´s already morning and you´re still on the dance floor wondering where the time has gone and what´s actually going on here. This is exactly when you might come across our dear friends Pulli & Chomba and Überhaupt & Außerdem - musically or truly. They are experts in such moments and know exactly how to make them happen. With their signature sound, which we love so much, they create unique interpretations that fit Kolja´s style perfectly.

We are excited to announce the release of @bepo_daune "Biorhythm EP," arriving just in time for the festival season. It features a powerful blend of slow, pressing downtempo rhythms with a deep dive into electronic and industrial soundscapes. The fourth track, "Bouncehouse," also features characteristic vocals from the Hamburg-based duo @mwaah

Additionally, the EP includes a lively, summery remix by our friends @pullichomba, adding an extra layer of sunny energy to the release.
