Hard to feel unlike a burden
Harder still to feel deserving of attention
Of affection
When I've spent close to eternity and then some
Being taught a constant lesson
Of my detriment to every strand of fate

Battered will so close to breaking
Fragile mind up for the taking
Walking tightrope on the edge is where our threads first intertwine
Amethyst among the masses
Struck against monochromatic manic me

Walking nightmare in a daydream
Praying no one wakes me
Walking nightmare in a daydream
Hoping that you'll save me

I don't know
What kind of sorcery you've got on me but
Every time you walk into the room
Everything that's withered starts to bloom


Utterly unphased
By the patchwork way I'm made
Past the visage you can see the me I almost lost completely
To the vitriol in spades
And you're gazing with a weight
I am terrified is horribly misplaced

On a nightmare in a daydream
Waiting for the rug to pull from under
Nightmare in a daydream
Unbelieving that you saved me

I don't know
What kind of sorcery you've got on me but

Everything that's withered starts to bloom

If I can offer what you see in me
But I'll bend heavens, earth, the sun and moon
Trying to do the same for you
Tethering our hearts to start anew
Take what's withered, and make it bloom
