I brought the rain

Introducing two new faces on World Canvas: A collaborative sonic endeavour by Kolding-based artists Joakim Moesgaard and Thora Kidon Jæger - The Sound of Double Bass & Computer.

Extrapolating the capabilities of the namesake acoustic instrument and its tonalities via exploratory programming and editing, the two artists present a piece simultaneously introspective and branching out to different varieties of expression.

Deeply rooted in their residence practice in the countryside of southern Denmark, Joakim and Thora’s music proposes an artistic work which is shaped by the ground it’s created on and a sense of respect towards the instruments and their (remnant and resonant) materials.

DJ Pitch is releasing a double single featuring two captivating tracks on BLUNTING. The A-side, "Posh Hand," targets the dance floor with an infectious melody that seamlessly blends with solid house beats. On the B-side, "Curbed," his signature slow groove is complemented by flared percussion and lush synths.

Inish Beg Octagon Mixtape

bambinodj’s @henryaleksis musical influences trace back to his early childhood in Guinea, West Africa, and are further shaped by his formal training in classical music.
In the early 2010s, bambinodj explored SoundCloud’s underground, tracing black diasporic club sounds from Brooklyn to London. Genres like FDM, Soflojook, UK Funky and Grime shaped his approach to rhythm, energy, and sound design.
After moving to Berlin, he immersed himself in its diverse electronic music scenes, each one adding another layer of inspiration.
Over time, bambinodj gravitated toward the emotional spectrum of music, where melancholy, euphoria, and intimacy intersect.
Blending elements of dancehall, pop, electronica, and trance, he creates a sound that is both personal and globally resonant. What began as remix-driven collage work has evolved into a more refined language, one where vulnerability and rhythm move in sync.

With his forthcoming album Dofflin Beach, Danish producer icfam invites listeners into the shimmering, slippery world of dofflin — a bright, futuristic, and mostly forgotten subgenre of electronic music from mid 2010s.

Conceived as the soundtrack to a behind-the-scenes video from an imaginary world tour, Dofflin Beach plays like a surreal travel diary: a jet-lagged superstar wandering from a beach party where “everyone was stang-bacardi,” to a sunrise jam session with bongos, synths, and even synth-bongos. Amongst the dancing people, a digital video camera gets tossed around, capturing the energy in fragments.

“Trying to capture the essence of dofflin is a slippery affair,” icfam admits. Yet on Dofflin Beach he leans into those early inspirations and influences, reimagining them in his own way about a decade later. It’s music that evokes both longing and belonging.

From beach to beach, to the imaginary private jet studio over the open sea, this album is a postcard from a place where dofflins do sing and play.
