He’s come a long way since Soiler Room - own up though who the fuck stole the wifi box ?! During his time away he’s mastered his craft with previous experience including working at Phonica Records for free where he was bullied everyday for not knowing the Balearic house catalogue, which he says gave him huge stakeholder engagement skills. In the words of Pep Guardiola, “We don't know where happiness is, if we knew where happiness is, we would all go there, but we don't know where it is - and that is what date night is all about”.

Lyndon is a Manchester based DJ, known for a disco-not-disco balearic approach in his mixes. Taking inspiration where the lines of downtempo, cosmic, synth pop and nu-romantic overlap. The type of music you wouldn’t mind letting a tear out to - quintessential lovers rock; perfect for a smokey, low lit room. He djs like girls are watching. I was planning to make a techno-centric mix last weekend but that's not what happened. I went on a walk to listen to the new album 'New Blue Sun' by André 3000 and it completed changed my mindset and moved me to an opposite direction. So here's something that is ambient, downtempo, experimental, and with lots of texture. The title of this mix is a nod to the opening track on André 3000's album ("I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a 'Rap' Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time"). Yes, the mix also opens with that track ✨

@MachineWoman wears many hats. She is the label founder of @takeawayjazzrecords and tireless producer of techno and experimental music, having released across labels such as @ninja-tune's Technicolour imprint, Sacred Tapes and Delsin. She is also the founder of a London-based meet-up where she brings together producers to hear their tracks on a Function-One soundsystem, alongside talks on the music industry. 

Growing up in Post-Soviet Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, in a difficult time, we went into how she danced to Boney-M's funk and disco to take her to another place as a child. We also got into the magic of jacket potatoes, the culture shock of moving country at a young age, the inspiration of a man drawing lines in Salford, and why happy hardcore group Scooter's motto is one to live by.
