Following a momentous year in 2020, it was to be expected that Teffa would slip back into the shadows for a short while, just to reload the artillery with more explosive system-levelling material. After adding a bunch of labels to the CV in quick succession including the likes of Albion Collective and FatKidOnFire, he makes his way back to the front line next week, continuing to fire his heavy weaponry in the direction of various imprints and this time it's the turn of growing UK label, Low End Music. Offering both vinyl and digital releases, Low End Music have already welcomed the likes of JSM and Panix to the label, so with the addition of Teffa, you know they mean business! Throughout 'Attention' EP, Teffa reminds us of his pure sub driven power and devastating minimalism, especially on today's banger of a premiere, 'Crooks'.

Following a brief quiet spell prior to 2021, Dread Or Dead Records have really come back with a bang this year and have since presented state of the art releases from Ninety and Duckem that I've still got in rotation to this day. For their next instalment, the label welcomes back long standing H&B favourite, B-Say, to the label with three of his more emblematic productions and a killer remix courtesy of Lampa! After a short stint of bright and bold dub influenced productions on the likes of Dirty Beats earlier this year, B-Say's back to his dark side and for me, his strongest side, as demonstrated on today's premiere, 'Sabotage'.

Label founders Tik&Borrow are back for their first EP of 2021 on In:flux Audio, coming in heavy with two original tracks for their latest EP 'Erebus & Terror'. The duo have been honing their intricate dubstep stylings since their last solo outing on the label in May 2020, and on the way to this EP they've had releases on Dirty Beats, Simply Deep, SND SYSTM CLTR and Frozen Plates to name a few. This EP sees them return to the heavier side of their sound, but maintaining the progressions seen through the past year, to create something that is fresh and forward thinking.

On remixes, label newby Qwirk tackles 'Erebus', taking the original and turning it into a breaks-dubstep hybrid that had us spinning in our chair upon it landing in our inbox. Dystinkt follows suit in the blending of styles, taking a more funky-dubstep approach to his remix of 'Terror', brining us a track that has groove for days and will get any dancefloor vibing.

As a label that continues to support a thriving scene throughout the west coast of the United States, For The Heads Records have delivered some impeccable releases since it's inception in 2019. With collaborative EPs from Mrshl & Subtle Mind in the books, plus the mighty Conzi with 'Chant' EP earlier this year, FTH certainly know how to put together a solid record by now! However, their keen ears are truly put to the test when curating their esteemed compilation series that reaches it's fourth edition this week. PREMIERE | X-2-Zero - Tribulations [JahTek003]

1point5 is back for his first solo EP on In:flux Audio since 'Perception' back in January 2015. He has been pottering around the label plenty since then though, with plenty of remixes and of course, his collab EP last November with founders Tik&Borrow. This time round we showcase three tracks from the producer, all of which showcase his evolution into firmer Dubstep territory, whilst retaining that signature 2-step 1point5 sound that we know and love.

On remixes, it's a selection of label loves who are returning the favour to 1point5 after he provided superb remixes on their EPs. Ali McK & IYZ are up first, with their reworking of 'Backspace' - a more twinkly affair with a superb reworking of the lead section into something more dark and brooding, whilst still retaining the duos ear for a banger. Fork and Knife closes out the EP with his UK Garage take on the lead track 'Solar Signal', all percussion, wubs and vibes - the perfect exit to a stunning EP.
