Step into Perth's raw underground with ADM's latest release, Homegrown Vol.01, showcasing the versatile talents of strictly local artists. This EP provides listeners a look into the thriving music community situated on Australia's left coast. Here, bass reigns supreme.

Leading the charge is none other than Density, whose track immerses listeners in a mysterious place through a combination of bassweight flavour, atmospheric samples and sound design, tribal percussion and haunting flute melodies. Each note is a whisper of intrigue, pulling you in deeper.

Robwun and Worried Boy join forces to create an alluring track that draws inspiration for some of its ingredients from Hip Hop. Slightly off kilter drums, a pulsing bassline, and the use of middle eastern instrumentation in the melody collide to bring you to an enigmatic environment, having you question whether or not you've been here before.

Krypsis delivers a chilling experience with a fusion of heavy 808 style bass tones, hollow sounding textures, and dissonant pads. It's a journey through a nightmarish landscape, where punchy drums drive you forward, as if fleeing from an unseen menace.

Vishnu goes deep, submerging listeners through the heavy use of delay and warm bass tones that envelop like a tide. Creating a sense of weightlessness, this track will allow you to lose yourself in its serene depths.

If you're familiar with the blog or just the genre in general, I'm sure Glume & Phossa are no strangers to your ears. The pair have quickly become two of my favourite producers following fresh boundary pushing releases on White Peach and solo releases on the likes of Albion Collective and FKOF respectively. They've consistently knocked it out of the park and in the process, shaping the sound of their home town - Bristol. Today we have the honour of premiering a track by Glume taken from a new split EP with Phossa entitled 'IMHK', available this Friday (28th June) on Subaltern Records. It's the twentieth edition for the label, who've become one of a few that's regularly pushed various sounds throughout all corners of the genre over the last few years, featuring well respected producers like Ago, Taiko and D-Operation Drop.
