L Nix, one of the masterminds behind Iron Shirt Recordings, returns with his most ambitious project to date, the highly anticipated Simulation LP. Hailing from Nelson, BC, Canada, L Nix has been producing music since 2005 and immersed fully into dubstep by 2008. Over nearly two decades, he has established himself with forward-thinking sound design, and a steadfast commitment to the 140 ethos. As both an artist and label head, his vision continues to preserve and evolve the darker, more spacious side of the genre.

Spanning 16 tracks, Simulation LP embodies that vision with precision. L Nix weaves spacious drums, haunting melodic textures, and gritty reese basslines into a cohesive and immersive journey. The project captures the essence of deep, dark dubstep while pushing it into new territory. Adding further depth, the album includes three heavyweight remixes. New Zealand's Victim injects fresh energy into the 140 sound with a bold reinterpretation of Solace. Dubstep pioneer Leon Switch delivers a devastating rework of Tough It Out, showcasing his legendary touch. Lysergene, fresh off his Outer Worlds LP on ISR, transforms Husky into an otherworldly experience.

With its expansive tracklist, carefully curated remixes, and uncompromising sound design, Simulation LP stands as a milestone release for both L Nix and Iron Shirt Recordings.

With the Unstable EP, Montréal-based producer Shigero presents a compelling debut on Åbysmal Ẹntities. This release highlights a refined approach to deep dubstep—music built with intention, patience, and a focus on sound system dynamics.

Across the EP, Shigero balances weight and space with precision. Sub-bass foundations carry sparse but carefully placed percussion, while atmospheric details linger just enough to create tension without crowding the mix. The result is a record that feels disciplined yet alive—minimal in structure, but powerful in presence.

‘Don’t Be Afraid’ was the first vocal track to be recorded for N-Type’s ‘Typography’ Album. At the time, N-Type and Kromestar were collaborating a lot in the studio and had just made ‘Nu Era Dub’ which was originally a Dubplate for N-Type to play at Outlook festival. N-Type was also working with Sgt Pokes and had just started the ‘Pirate Copy’ podcast which is currently a radio show on SWU FM. As part of the show, they recorded exclusive freestyle Dubplate’s from guest artists. Pokes suggested Breezy Lee to N-Type, so he linked up with Kromestar in the studio to build the instrumental. When Breezy Lee touched the mic they were blown away and Sgt Pokes went on to write his verses to create this dark, hypnotic song. 

‘Don’t Be Afraid’ is available on Digital and limited Lathe Cut. 

’N-Type - Typography’ album is due for release on November 21st 2025.
