Marion  Van Namen - has chosen her future.

This picture depicts the hazards that Ukrainian first responders face every time a Russian missle tears into a home, commercial buildiing or uitility.  First responders are now being offerred safety glasses that will protect their eyes from schapnel thrown from these bombings.  The BBH Eye Foundation is now developing a way to send 1,000’s of safety glasses can be provided to them.  Jack Blacks, one of the founders of this foundation describes how these glasses are now being sent there.  These founders are providing a beacon of hope and example of what it takes to cope with dictators who want to take over the lives of people living in a democratic socierty.

Chef Danny Corsun discovered how his unique ability to cook was able to be used to educate children in special education.  The uniqueness of this method drew children from the general school population.  He also discovered how it could be used in Senior Centers, the broader k-12 school system, with adults in non-profit organizations and even fund raising organizations. People Make The World Go Round

I have many new opportunities while living near Portland, Oregon. I’m facilitating a group called Climate Change & Environmental Justice Task Force for the Southminster Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, Oregon. At the same time, I’ve been elected the Vice Chair of the Green Team at Willamette View, a retirement community of some 500 people. 

I have traveled internationally since the early 2000’s. I had a brief hiatus, but, now have started again. My latest foray was to Kansas & Florida, two places that are very different than Oregon, socially, politically, geographically, and otherwise. But I appreciated this experience and will share them on Sound Cloud.
