Véritable oiseau de nuit lyonnaise, Betty a commencé à travailler dans divers clubs et bars de la ville lumière au crépuscule des années 80. À La Centrale, au Haute-Tension et au Fridge, comme barman et organisatrice de soirées, puis à L'Exit, un bar techno renommé qu'elle a dirigé, et aussi pour les légendaires teufs I love Boys, Enjoy and Wake Up organisées par son ami DJ Peel. 

Bien qu'ayant aujourd'hui quitté le monde de la nuit, elle reste une férue de musiques, qu'elle continue de mixer avec son enthousiasme communicatif  derrière les platines, comme lors de ce cinquième épisode de notre nouvelle série. Elle livre ici un podcast de 1h et 48mn, véritable voyage entre indie dance, dark disco et new wave, répondant parfaitement aux critères d'ombre et de lumière de Dystopie Solaire. Une énergie mécanique qui nous ramène à la fin des 80's au travers de morceaux soigneusement sélectionnés par la cheffe de gare de la semaine. Aucun doute que vous bougerez au rythme de la musique, dans le train, en apéro, au boulot, en before, en after ou au dodo.

For nearly three decades, Beartrax has been exploring a wide range of instruments and styles since first picking up the violin. His musical journey has consisted of playing in orchestras, jazz ensembles, and a metal band before he discovered electronic music in late 2011, after which he dove head-on into the world of production and DJing.

Beartrax’s productions and performances are deeply rooted in organic, musical elements, seamlessly blending violins and synths to reflect his rich musical background and passion for melodies. His influences span heavy metal, punk, new wave, and classical music.

Over the years, his productions have climbed several charts and gained support from renowned DJs. In pursuit of his artistic vision, he launched his own imprint, Melodize, as a platform to showcase his unique approach to house, disco, and techno. Beyond his own work, Melodize has featured tracks and remixes from artists such as Lauer, Marvin & Guy, Massimiliano Pagliara, Undo, and Aural Trace, receiving support from names like Skatebård, I-F, Jennifer Cardini, and Alexander Robotnick, among others.

Doctr - Live At  Cosy Festival - 13th July 2025


With his track “Time Is Not Real,” Dutch producer Doctr resurrects the break fever of the 1980s. Driven by syncopated beats and an irresistible slapped bassline, the track clearly draws inspiration from “Street Dance,” while injecting a modern dynamic and a vocal by Belle Doron. 

Percussive breaks, subtle vocoders, and an uptempo groove give the piece an energy crafted for the dancefloor. A retro-futuristic gem that belongs on every nu-funk and electro-boogie playlist.
With "Echoes," Doctr delivers a delicate Italo disco ballad. The catchy, melodic, and luminous leads rise like memories that refuse to fade away. In the background, airy pads weave a sensitive, almost cinematic atmosphere. The refined and nuanced production plays on contrasts between danceable pulse and introspection. A track that touches both the heart and the body, standing at the crossroads of the club and pure emotion.

To close the release, “The Calling” is an irresistible groove set to ignite dancefloors. At the heart of the track, a powerful and hypnotic 30-second percussive break grabs attention before giving way to a perfectly crafted Italo disco melody. This contrast between raw rhythmic energy and melodic finesse makes the track an essential club anthem, embodying the perfect fusion of power and sonic elegance.

His tracks have garnered massive support from a who's who of DJs, including BBC Radio, Erol Alkan, Curses, Hammer, Dam Swindle, and Maceo Plex. He has also built a dedicated following through his Italo Disco edits, which have been praised by the likes of Gerd Janson, Sarah Wild, and Alex from Tokyo and Cormac, with the tracks being played at the infamous Berghain's Panorama, Burning Man and Horse Meat Disco.
