The Berlin/La Paz/Paris-based label Happily Ever After Recordings - or HEARec, for short - debuts on the premiere section of our platform with a bombastic release by Sex Kino. Established in Stockholm, the duo is formed by English producer James Brook (ex-Pardon Moi) and Swedish artist Josefine Larsson. Fusing Rock, Disco, and Folk, they have been producing high-quality material, being extremely welcomed at the Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene. The EP "Who Do You Love", released on Roam Recordings and remixed by Theus Mago (SXDNS056), Moisees (SXDNS112) and Alejandro Molinari (SXDNS160), and the single "We Have Ways Of Making You Dance", their opener on HEARec, are here to prove us right.  

From "Scream In The City", their forthcoming release, we handpicked the beautiful and enchanting remix of "Don't Look Back" made with love by French producer Fred Rodrigues-Carreira aka Back From The Wave. If the original is a frenzied heavily Indie Rock-influenced with more than 150 BPM, Fred's interpretation is a sweet and mesmerizing 110-BPM synthwave-ish theme. The powerful Moog bassline topped with dazzling melodic synth and lead layers turn BFTW remix undoubtedly one of the highlights of the EP.

Sonido Moderna es un colectivo y plataforma de eventos fundada en el 2016 que busca exponer, promover y diseminar a lo que ellos llaman “electrónica de diseñador” en la limitada escena Guatemalteca. Siempre nadando contra-corriente, debido a su orientación sonora; han logrado presentarle a su público muchos exponentes e influencias de la estética que buscan. En conmemoración a este intercambio cultural y su 4to aniversario; el 02 de Noviembre del 2020 finalmente se lanzan a sacar su primer compilado de producciones originales. El compilado busca reforzar los cimientos alternativos del sonido y exponer talentos locales propios del colectivo junto a amigos y colaboradores internacionales de orígenes tan variados como Turquía, Austria, Ucrania, México y Colombia.

El track L Lounge, en palabras del propio Alf Champion: 

"L Lounge es un homenaje a un lugar en el que pase muchas horas de mi infancia… era un cuarto amplio localizado en el patio trasero de la legendaria casa de los abuelos de Mario Russell (uno de mis mejores amigos de siempre) donde pasamos horas jammeando, experimentando, creando y demás. Se vivieron varias fiestas memorables allí, era un lugar apartado de los adultos y con una vibra bastante chill; El lugar fue bautizado como “El Lounge” por Russell y como en todas las historias El Lounge eventualmente llego a su fin. Así que el único recuerdo que nos queda de ese gran lugar esta en esta canción con bajos alocados, ritmos descontrolados y voces con rastros de estupefacientes."
