Formed in Singapore, August 2006, KEGS are a three piece outfit that was first meant to try out in Singapore Battle of the Bands 2006. From then on, the band saw various change in members and a rather inactive period due to some circumstances up till June 2009.

Declan Chew, frontman and songwriter of KEGS, properly continued the band mission from then on alongside fixed members, the slick Wong Hoe Ren on bass and Josiah Suthan the thunder groove on drums. KEGS began finding their style in their music as a band with a fresh alternative sound in their songs, with the very evident rock element present as well.

Playing many venues and shows along the way (featured performing in Singapore's Home Club very often) whilst writing and refining material, KEGS have managed to churn up an album worth of songs by early 2011, hitting the recording studio to have successfully recorded half of them. 

Declan has moved on currently to London in October 2011 for further studies and will be situated in London for an extended period of time (much daunting to the band's prowess peaking period in Singapore). With the situation as such, to continue the KEGS mission, Declan will reform the band with fresh members in London, always bearing in mind the main significance of this: to have the music that KEGS are proud of writing to be loved and heard.

Formed in 2005 and originally the brainchild of one MC, the Hackney based outfit now stand as a full eight piece band who’s onstage energy is a colossal live experience that will keep you buzzing long after you’ve left the venue.

Having notched up shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, The Roundhouse, KOKO and venues up and down the UK, supporting the likes of Mos Def, Soulwax, The Specials, Bonobo, Chali 2Na (Jurrasic5) and Beardyman, Lazy Habits have won hearts and blown minds, proving they can take on any stage.

 They've smashed Glastonbury with their live performances, hosted and DJ'd on “The Other” and “Jazz World” stages, ticking off slots at Bestival, Secret Garden Party and Edinburgh Festival along the way.

2011 sees them travel even further afield including festival performances in Latvia, Croatia, Taiwan and The French Alps as well as a full UK tour.


Their debut self-released EP “On the Wagon” put the Habits on the radar of Taste Maker Huw Stephens, and blew up on the underground scene, selling out on pre-orders alone. Their follow up single “Even Out” introduced them to a wider audience and was used on commercially released cinema and TV productions both domestically and Europe wide. 

Championed by Eliza Doolittle, Paloma Faith and a host of BBC radio DJ’s, including Huw, this lot will defy you not to be on your playlist in 2011.

I write to reflect our times, to tell stories of our roots, our inherited pain and joy, feminism, mental health, love and loss. I am influenced by the great songtellers of the 1970s - Carole, Billy, Elton, Joni, Dolly. My songs and verses are a poetic pop with an edge of theatrical storytelling and vocals. Always looking forward and learning, but never forgetting where I come from.

"We Are Alive!" is a project of two German producers which started to create electronic music in 2009. Since then they produced tracks of very different styles and will continue creating music without sticking to any specific genre.

High Cross Society are a lighthouse of originality in an ocean of also-rans, a coming together of some of the UK's finest live musicians which has resulted in a truly unique album. This is an album that bucks the current trend for disposable pop and brutalist dance tracks, choosing instead to create something more cantabile and palpable. Like all the greatest music it sits outside of time - at once classic and contemporary, this will sound as good in 20 years as it does now.

The project was born when Lazy Habits and Joshua Whitehouse (More Like Trees) joined forces after meeting and writing together at Local Posse sessions - an improvisational night set up by Joe Driscoll. Their initial two songs would quickly became eight and at this point they drafted in multi-instrumentalist mastermind Fjokra to play piano and head up the production elements and preparation for what would now be a full band. A band that includes Local Posse drummer and member of the Joe Driscoll & Sekou Kouyate band - James Breen, Lazy Habits percussionist Steve Abunab and classical double bassist Lachlan Radford (More Like Trees). In the studio they were joined by the 'Habits Horns' (Luke Fabia on trumpet, Ben Thorpe trombone), Fjokra's electric bassist S.E.B, 2X UK beatbox champion Reeps One, and the unbelievably dulcet vocals of Josh Bevan. Top all this off with production taken care of by the award-winning John Hendicott and you have something very special.
