Keith Moore uses the fields of acoustics and psychoacoustics to compose expressive and conceptually rich instrumental works that compel listeners to consider the beauty and breadth of perception itself.

Moore completed his D.M.A. at Columbia University studying with Fred Lerdahl, Tristan Murail and George Lewis. His teachers also include Sir Harrison Birtwistle (M.M., King’s College), Alvin Lucier, Anthony Braxton, Neely Bruce (M.A., Wesleyan University) and the storied composition faculty of the University of Illinois (B.M.). He has participated in extended courses with David Tudor, Joan Tower, James Tenney, Pauline Oliveros, Brian Ferneyhough and Martin Bresnick.
