The latest Intec release is a special package in honour of a true house classic originally released at the birth of the genre in 1985, and that features two new reworked versions of Chip E’s anthemic track “Time To Jack”.

Created in collaboration with Chip E, the two new versions have been produced by label boss Carl Cox titled “Back 2 Jack” and pay homage to the iconic vocal, which should be instantly familiar to house fans of all generations.

Anyone who has ever watched or read a documentary covering the history of house music will know how influential Chip E’s original was, as many accredit it with being one of the records that coined the term “Jacking”.

Reworking a classic so iconic arguably takes an icon to do it, and working on that logic, Carl Cox is the obvious man for the job.

Starting with a solid kick drum as the track's foundation, Carl's updated version is all around bigger and with a booming sound.

It stays true to the original, keeping the bassline and vocals but also bringing the production up to date with a thickened sound, adding some aggressive modulation to the instantly recognisable bass hook.

Re-recording the vocal has also given it some added presence and really brought out the commanding intensity that many know and love and has done it in a respectful way that compliments a piece of music now over thirty years old.

We have asked some of our dearest friends to remix our biggest tracks to date, creating this 'elrow Remixed vol. 1' series. In this delivery you'll be able to find three of our biggest tracks remixed by some of the hottest artists of the genre. These are Max Chapman's 'Body Jack' - our first #1 track in Beatport's general chart, supported by even bigger names as Carl Cox -, CAAL & Baum's 'Downtown Beat' - a major surprise for us, supported by artists ranging from Marco Carola to Dennis Ferrer -, and Ki Kreighton and Makanan's 'Trivial' - that not only blew Beatport, but also is the most streamed track of the label in Spotify -. For the occasion, we've chosen Franky Rizardo, Nathan Barato and Miguel Bastida to remix each of the tracks respectively, creating an unique blend of monstrous tech-house energy, each with a character of its own, creating an unique VA remix series, to be released next May 25th. Ki Creighton & Makanan - Trivial (Miguel Bastida Remix)

Amsterdam based Keith Carnal has in recent years become seen as somewhat of a tastemaker in today’s world of techno. It might not then come as a big surprise to you that he has also become a favoured producer among many who are seen as “techno mainstay”, gaining support from numerous of his own musical inspirations and champions. Carnal, who grew up in a very musical home in the northern part of Holland, found techno at an early age when he began sourcing and selecting on his own. Techno was, and very much is, the first music that made a deep impression on Keith. This feeling only went on to become more cemented after a few years of composing on his own. It simply became clearer and clearer that Carnal is exactly where he belongs.

Keith’s own style of techno always has a strong emphasis on melodies and groove - it is made for dancing no doubt. Often the melody creates a rather ominous feeling for the listener, but with a certain melancholy to it. This is weighed up expertly with Keith focusing on the tracks being driven forward by strong percussion elements. His compositions contain a fresh vibe that immerses his audience as much as it does with his fellow producer and DJ colleagues. 

Carnal’s own productions very much goes hand in hand with the selections he makes as a DJ. A set of Keith’s always focuses on keeping the tempo and the groove up and going. Classic productions are mixed confidently with more current ones. His sets flourish with tracks that are atmospheric and contain strong melodic segments - tracks where percussion and bass play a major part in why being selected. For Keith Carnal creating the right groove is the main target. This year will see Keith releasing several strong productions as well as continuing his extensive international touring schedule, where he is headlining many of the major festivals and clubs. Keith Carnal is a fresh wind in today’s techno climate.
