Biography

Prosper Dumisani Yende, was born and bread in the town of Piet Retief, Mpumalanga (RSA). Born into a musical family, his love affair with music started at a young age collecting records and assembling playlists for various events. Over the years this interest grew into a legitimate skill and passion for house music.

In 2010, after completing his DJ101 Course, he was certified as a Dj and a performer at the Soul Candi Institute of Music (CPT). In 2011, he received his Certificate for Advance Music Production and Techniques at the Soul Candi Institute of Music (JHB).

Pro has worked in a number of successful events/projects such as the; Amstel sponsored event at District 6 Café in Cape Town. He has also held residency in a number of popular clubs in Cape Town, namely:

•	Vudu Lounge (New) – a hip and happening club in the bustling Kloof Street.
•	Club Reloaded – a student chill zone hosting up and coming Djs.
•	Cybar – a vibey club/bar situated in Rondebosch.

At the end of 2010, he moved to Johannesburg to further his musical journey. He has made a number of performances in places such as; Kospotong both in Braamfontein and Gandhi Square, Koteng Restaurant, Latino Bar and so on. Pro has also performed alongside the legendary Dj Claude (SC) at Goodfellas Warehouse in Klerksdorp, followed by two performances in Swazilands’ Club City by Night. 

In 2012, he released an Ep (Dj Prosper - That Something ft. Dula) on Afrodesiamp3.com, and the project was available for purchase until the unfortunate closer of Afrodesiamp3 in late 2012.  Nonetheless that Ep, and others will be released on Traxsource and other online shops in 2013.

With twelve years of production and fifteen years of DJ experience, DAN CASTER is a fountain of musical knowledge, confident enough to let his work as an artist speak for itself. While many are aware of his own releases on Supdub (‘Wunderbar’ and ‘Musica’) and, most recently, Stil vor Talent (‘Bleeding’), his output as a behind-the-scenes producer for Niconé, Sascha Braemer or Rene Bourgeois may come as a pleasant surprise. He contributed to Niconé & Sascha Braemer’s hugely successful ‘Romantic Thrills’ album (2011), for example, while his own remix of ‘Runaway’ feat. Jan Blomqvist’, one of the LP’s highlights, ended up taking the Beatport Deep House charts
by storm. His smash-hit ‘Mama Say’ for Light my Fire then climbed to the top 2 Beatport Nu Disco charts, and remixes for the likes of M.in or Oliver Schories cemented his position in the scene.
After releases on Stil vor Talent and Der Turnbeutel, in 2014 we can look forward to an EP on the Katerholzig Label Katermukke. Just as refined and varied as his production style, Dan’s skills as a DJ are best described as eclectic yet wonderfully coherent and extremely tight. He is a schooled
reader of crowds and thus adepts perfectly to different club scenarios and energy levels, shifting seamlessly from deeper styles of house to techier material – something he proved on his recent podcasts and that is reflected in his impressive booking schedule, which will take Dan to hotspot destinations such as Copenhagen, Kiev, Paris, Zurich or Munich, to name a few.
