In 2014, Canadian artist City Lies showcased his talent for ambient and downtempo music on his Silk Sofa artist album, "Full Ambient". We are proud to present three brand new originals, collectively entitled "Cinema".

"Camera" takes off with an intricate groove, including lush pad layers that brilliantly create a both haunting and inspiring atmosphere. Subtle rhodes notes are soon introduced, which are later accompanied by a unique, delayed synth that adds further texture. In "Actress", stunning chords are quickly introduced, which unmistakably form an outstanding soundscape. A calm breakbeat emerges later, and a remarkable, light theme lead soon follows with its entrance. The atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful, floating pad notes on top. Last but not least, "Film Noir" perfectly rounds out the EP. A number of spell-binding pads are quickly established in the mix, and well-crafted percussion elements spice up the already hypnotic atmosphere later. In the latter half of the song, a mesmerizing theme lead takes over, brilliantly supported by the underlying melodic pad layers.
