With 7 official solo albums to date, award winning Scottish singer songwriter Dean Owens is widely hailed as one of UK’s finest troubadours, with fans including authors Ian Rankin (Rebus) and Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting), and BBC legend “Whispering” Bob Harris. 

Dean's next releases are The Desert Trilogy EPs (Mar - Sep 2021) and album Sinner's Shrine (early 2022), recorded with desert noir/Latin rock icons Calexico, at WaveLab Studios, Tucson AZ.

Tales of love and lust, sinners and saints, the displaced, the wanderers and the border ghosts. 

While never losing his own unique Scottish identity, Dean has had a longstanding love affair with the USA since his early days as front man of Scottish alt-country band, the Felsons, recording most of his solo albums there. 

Numerous side projects include Buffalo Blood – described by BBC’s Paul Sexton as “a US/UK Americana supergroup” - recorded on location in the New Mexico desert with Grammy nominated producer/musician Neilson Hubbard, Audrey Spillman and Joshua Britt.
