Music has the power to be a really beautiful thing. It marks certain moments in time that you carry with you your whole life. When ever you hear certain tracks they transport you right back to some place wonderful. I'm madly in love with my girlfriend Christina and went with her in 2012 to Lightning in a bottle where I played this set. LIB is a wonderful and diverse festival on the West coast of America. It was Christina's and my first festival together. I wanted to make it a really really special trip and decided beforehand to play only for her that day inspired by and full of my love for the most gorgeous, lovely and sweet girl I've ever met.  

LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE 2012 PART TWO

This is probably one of my deepest, most seamless sets yet. Pink Fuzzy Monkey is an amazing camp located at 8:45 and C this year, and it was fun being a guest dj along with JaimeCole and Nickki Smiles who KILLED IT on Wednesday. Almost all music genres were represented throughout the week, and I was Mr. Deep House during sunsets. It was really fun chillin' at this camp.
There's nothing finer than spinning deep house at sunset or sunrise. This was the first time I dj'd during sunset at Burning Man and wow what an amazing experience. Huge sound system, people in a five-story firehouse across the street dancing to my set, random people stopping to groove to it, and of course the Pink Fuzzy Monkey camp. It feels good when your neighbors (who built a five story fire station) come over and say 'wow we really dig your music, turn it up.' Deep House doesn't get a lot of love in Reno, so I was basking in the love at Burning Man. Thanks for the support, see you next year!

The word Cleavage got a whole different meaning this year, when an Amsterdam producer-duo decided to name themselves exactly that. Their goal is to create music that everybody could go wild to, and so far they’ve pretty much nailed it. Incorporating dominating bass lines and sensual vocal hooks creates their very catchy and soulful house that has been heating up many an Amsterdam club for the last couple of months.

While assembling mix these last few weeks and thinking about the direction I wanted it go, I noticed that elderflower had been popping up in various points in my life. Elderflower is one of my favorite words...it's oxymoronic with the sophistication and experience of an elder contrasted by the youth of a flower in bloom. The taste itself is worth mentioning, which is delicate and sweet in nature…I tried to capture all these things in this mix, sophistication, spirit, delicacy, and sweetness, and I hope that came through. Hope you like it.
