It was if someone had taken two pictures and spliced them together and the colors on the right were more saturated and the tone was more intense. The bifurcation of the landscape was obvious to the eye and as I stepped over the line the atmosphere was completely different. The ringing in my ears stopped and the sky was a cerulean blue with low puffy clouds seen through the branches. The fear of the unknown lessened. . What it meant to be settled in my interior was possible again.  The air was clean and my mind was clearer. I waited in the realm and looked back from where I came. If it was a door, it appeared to still be open.  Wandering further, the ground was like a sponge ,moss covered and swollen with moisture. I listened to the birds. There were hundreds of them singing in the trees various tunes. The old dilapidated greenhouse was refurbished with a glassy flexible substance and the doors had been rebuilt with proper handles and springs to swing them open and closed easily. A hand painted sign hung above the northeast door that read Practice Dreaming.  I opened my mouth and sang a lament for the old world and its suffering and the trees swayed their branches till the song was done. And then I began to sing again and could not stop singing full voice from that inner place that reaches across time. The space across the yard from where I had come began to wobble and glitch. Then I understood that this was the present future that could be and all that we had to do was sing it in.

hangs over our heads
conducting this one-act
medieval play. Two three scenes
and a thousand different ways
to slaughter
men
and women
for insulting
their projection
of this entity,
the divinity,
whose man-made aura is then used
to assure
the smooth operation
of the nearest multinational
owned by the authors, directors, producers
and actors
of the Clowns of Blasphemy.

I was born on a Saturday.
I got my name from my Dad.

Not one memory of him is bad.

I was a boy who could never sit still.
Had no focus and had no plans.
I was a poser with no social skills.
Babe but I did the best that I can.

This is another story of life.

Grew 2 feet the year I turned fourteen.
Scrawny and face like the moon.
Too long, too lean trying hard to be seen.
I sure wasn't calling no tune.

Out there alone had to learn how to fight.
Survival became my whole day.
Bullies and darkness they turned out my light.
Any happiness faded away.

Desperate days filled with hate.
Walking too close to the edge.
God please help me before its too late.
Get me the Hell off this ledge.

Ain't that the story of life?

Thank God I found her. Like magic was saved.
That tunnel had come to an end.
My full measure I reluctantly gave.
