The latest entry from Furanum sees label boss Dominik Müller and repeat contributor Tomohiko Sagae return from remix duties on the label's preceding long play release for a four-track split vinyl treatment of Fu020. On The Other Colours of Poison, acting apart yet seemingly as one, they both dispense with nearly any pretense of an introduction, epilogue, or abstract ambiences, and instead opt for a pure and dancefloor-bound effort of four-to-the-floor industrial relentlessness encapsulated in two compositions to a man.

Sagae notably eschews his signature noise-manifesto driven approach in favour of a compelling centering of groove as a prime determinant of musical force. The results of this approach are on display first in 'Tartrazine,' where a rhythmic mind-worm seemingly burrows it's way in, assimilating and holding the beholder in a frantic dance of oscillatory sway. Likewise, in 'Amaranth' an ineluctable sense of technoid acceleration is achieved, with each of the composition's successive loops driving the sense of propulsive sonic force relentlessly forward, not unlike the turning of a violent accretion disk tearing matter apart.

As for Müller, he builds on his previous work to construct two reliable aural vehicles for the delivery of unrelenting and thematically oriented vehemence. 'Demut' is like a scene of surrender to an engineered and shifting collosus, overwhelming all attempts at its full apprehension as cogent reverberations puncture the surrounding temporal space. On the flipside, in 'Toxic Environment,' he captures the narratively framed pulse of a phrenetically beating heart, beating on despite all odds through sheer force of will and self-overcoming.

Mastered by Kassian Troyer, The Other Colours of Poison will be available on vinyl and in digital format as of 2021.12.10.

Volsent has explored a plethora of music genres, all feeding into his current combination of disturbed
sound, based on powerful kicks, funk and breaks, augmented with classical melodies. His journey as
an electronic music producer began with hip hop and jungle breaks, eventually leading down a path
to his current, visionary experimental techno-industrial sound. Today, Volsent's music is
characterized by a modular, synth-heavy approach to sound design, fusing heavy beats with thick,
distorted synth riffs. He joined the London electronic experimental scene in 2010. Surrounded by
crazy musicians and toy circuit benders, he found himself in an underground community that helped
him explore and develop a passion for analogue equipment. As a performer, he believes in the power
of live analogue performances. This allows him to shape sound for the dancer, generating
unexpected switches from acidic industrial techno to trippy power-breaks.

Dim Light is a record label owner and DJ based in Berlin.

Being a music nerd since his early youth, he got into listening to electronic music around 20 years ago. After several years of practicing all by himself he started releasing online mixes around 2011.

In 2015 he launched Nemorous Records together with Anja Zaube and after that played a few selected gigs at events like Apathy at Grießmühle, Tokonoma in Kassel oder Smallroom in Bielefeld, sharing the decks with artists like Talker and Oake.

In 2017 he finally started his own brainchild Voidance Records, so far releasing 5 EPs and 2 tapes and hosting 2 showcases in 2019. Voidance Records deals with the darkest strains of the electronic music genre, hosting new as well as established artists like Meer, Chafik Chennouf&Katsunori Sawa and Llimbs, to name but a few.

Dim Light‘s musical influences range from all different genres like Ambient, Black Metal, Electroacoustic music or Techno, which also reflects in his sets.
