This piece is written specially for Young Composers Meeting 2006 in Apeldoorn, where a theme ʻWaiting for a bus stopʼ was supposed. So, the authorʼs task was to find a connections between constructive principle of the work being written and the theme given by organizers. The text appeard is as follows.
 
A passenger waiting for his bus is observing as a car is passing down the road; dusts are raising from under its wheels and settled onto something else after chaotic movement in the air. Than due to that (or, vice versa, because of quite different reason) something else is happening etc. Many processes — depending to each other in different degrees — are taking place around the observer. Every process, being generated by another one, ʻlivesʼ each own live, develops its own way.

Short phrases from some music are wafting from passing car stereos, sometimes being distorted by something like Doppler effect, but at once ʻsubmergeʼ among other sound and no-sound  ʻeventsʼ. All this stuff is filling all receptors and ʻscintillatingʼ so, that even time starts shrinking and stretching in sensations of the waiting person.

Kentaro Noda; Somniloquy IIIb for 13-strings Koto

In my piece I used the atomic structure principle of metallic glass. In metallic glass, molecules and atoms are arranged randomly, herewith forming a small local group of several particles (short-range order). I was inspired by the idea of a superficially chaotic and messy structure with detect micro-patterns and micro-regularity inside. For a basis I took the recording of my composition for the harp. I used this recording as a sound unit or voice ("atom"), converted by various plugins. I've repeated the recording in the endless canon more than 3000 times. As a result I've got a new electronic sound, which is impossible to recognize neither the sound of the harp, nor the original piece. I tried to liken the sound of the piece to some amorphous structure, which sounds chaotically, but has many small ordered sub-structures inside.

Jean-Luc Fafchamps - Bryce for clarinet and string quartet (1998)

Kentaro Noda was born on 24th February 1976. He studied under Nobuko Ishiodori, Takuya Kosugi, Tatsunori Ishihara and Norimasa Matsuda all before graduating from Mie Prefectural Yokkaichi Senior High School. He studied under Yasuko Tasumi at Music Department of The Kyoto City University of Arts from April 1994, and also debuted at Kyoto Concert Hall in 1996 and graduated in March 1999. During September 1999 and May 2000, He studied under Kasandra Keeling, Theresa Bogard, Mary Ann Jones and Anne Marie Guzzo at the Performance Certificate Program of The University of Wyoming Department of Music. After transfer, he studied under Gary Smart and Charlotte Mabrey at the Performance Certificate Program of The University of North Florida Department of Music, and also finished in May 2002. He is first Japanese non ex-aequo winner of The 12th Young Composers' Meeting and first invited Japanese composer from The 10th Avantgarde Tirol in 2006.
