For the seventh installment of our podcast series, we are happy to present you with the live recording of Antenes's set.

Having met Antenes nearly a decade ago in Taipei, we found her more than a natural match for our events: An esteemed and well-acclaimed sound designer, producer, and DJ, Antenes has a natural radar for the music that finds itself floating between soothing soundscapes, wistful textures, and the occasional, and possibly accidental acid kick, leaving listeners in, somewhat, surreal state, on the edges of reality and the liminal. In her own words, her music aims to "make us lose our sense of time." This is evident as her set meanders through different spheres over two hours, through gentle escapes, heavy turns, an occasional beat, and timeless drone loops, leaving listeners with a sonic journey in which time finds no place. ポッドキャスト・シリーズの第7回目として、今年の2月12日に特別な音響設備を備える東京の神楽音で録音されたAntenesによるハイブリッドライブの録音をシェアできることになりました。

10年近く前に台北で出会ったAntenesが、私たちのイベントに自然と調和することは明らかで、この特別なセッションでは、彼女の長年にわたる経験、つまり高名なサウンドデザイナー、プロデューサー、DJの中で培われてきた感性が余すとこなく発揮されました。

彼女は、音楽に対する天性のレーダーを持っており、心地よいサウンドスケープ、切ないテクスチャー、アシッドキックの間を漂う音楽は、リスナーを現実と境界線の端にいるような、どこか超現実的（LIMINAL）な感覚へと適切な方法で案内します。彼女自身の言葉を借りれば、彼女の音楽は "時間の感覚を失わせる"と表現できます。穏やかな逃避行、ヘヴィな展開、時折聞こえるビート、時代を超えたドローン・ループなど、2時間以上にわたってさまざまな領域を蛇行する彼女のセットを聴けば、この言葉の意味が明らかになるでしょう。タイムレスな時空旅行をお楽しみください。

For #17 we keepin' it in the family. Lempuyang presents a mix from label boss Alastair's older brother, Will Kelly. Will was naturally a big influence on my musical tastes, and introduced me to techno via Radio 1's Essential Mix shows in 1993. In this mix, Will blends early techno, detroit & acid with deeper styles, with the end result more than the sum of its parts. Proud to host this one!

"Origami" is a famous Japanese art of folding paper into a decorative figure, and is now also the fruit of the musical collaboration between Barcelona-based producer Ludviq and Australia-based multifaceted Poulper. 

Indeed, born from the recent time spent in the studio by both producers, their new EP testifies to the symbiosis between Bonkers Music´s Ludviq and Quixotical Records´Poulper. Together, they deliver the singles "Origami" and "Crystal Cactus", both tracks blending each producer's quintessential musical wizardry. In their new record, Ludviq´s dark psychedelic slow techno textures meet Poulper´s more atmospheric and deep organic layers, which sounds as enigmatic and thought-provoking as an original Japanese origami. 

After a first successful single release "Cosmovision" via Golden Soul Records in 2022, THISBE Recordings is delighted to release Ludviq & Poulper first collab EP, both on a limited vinyl edition and on all digital platforms. The record also includes remixes by Calypso Records´head Thomass Jackson and French proto house and new beat sensation Kubebe.

Nummer's music is characterised by a passion for obscurity and authenticity. This characterises the records the French pair endlessly dig for, as well as the studio full of custom built and second hand pieces of hardware they collect.  When used to make their own music, the results range from ambient soundscapes to jacking dance floor bangers via electro futurism. It comes on their Nummer Music as well as Going Good with slick stylistic variations that also define this mix for us. 

The live and DJ duo create a loose and gangly groove early on here and keep it up over the course of an infectious 80 minutes. There's flabby slow motion techno, wiggling electro funk and cosmic acid call upon along the way. What ties everything together so neatly are the atmospheres around the tracks, which are never less than mysterious and inquisitive, so buckle up and enjoy the trip.

I have experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles during my musical biography which began in the 8oies as a teen with Postpunk and dark wave and develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Reggae and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, after visiting Jamaica for two times at the end of the 90ies...

Dubtechno became a very special role to me cause of its introvert meditative attitude which fits very good to me now in the present time.

So music is much more than entertainment to me and shaped my personality by getting much energy from it.
And this is something, what I want to bring over in my diverse and genres overarching mixes.

P.S.: I distance myself from any extremist ideas and religious or political brainwashing attitudes. As well as stigmatization of any kind. I do this to the best of my knowledge and belief.
