Every machine has its own acoustic signature - a precise frequency that indicates whether that machine is operating at peak performance. GE engineers monitor and record these sounds to perform real-time diagnostics on airplane engines, locomotives, power turbines, and medical equipment. Musician Matthew Dear and GE Acoustics Engineer Andrew Gorton teamed up to collect and compose thousands of audio emissions from the world’s most powerful machines. The result is an original track of music titled “Drop Science.”

Danger Storm

Wonderful 8-Bit ditty for an exploring action adventure platformer. My favorite part is at 16 seconds in... The rest of the piece was written around that theme. Check it out, yo! Careful of the spiked kittens on level 7... not cuddly.

What do you get when you cross some 8-bit music technology with Dixieland music? Well... you get stuff that sounds like this. The uncompressed download comes with a pile of extra stuff, like versions at 220, 230, 240, and a whopping 275 beats per minute! That's really fast. It also has loops that don't go through the modulation so you can repeat them as long as you'd like!

This is a piece of music classified as "GNDN". Goes Nowhere. Does Nothing. It sort of sits there and just repeats mild variants. There isn't even an ending.  Yet, this was all on purpose. This piece was designed for keeping energy in news reports or review segments where there is a lot of talking. There is no end so it is easy to loop to any length. There will come a time in your editing career where you will need this piece. Best to download it now.

Got a video where you stuck a cucumber on a drone to terrorize your cat? Boom! Corruption. Or those really gross films of people removing cysts? ug. don't use this for that. Actually, why are you posting that? Don't do it. Just... ug. can't unsee...
