I’m a recovering alcoholic doing my best to stay sober, while still devoting my life to music, whiskey, and impossible women. Born and raised in Northern Norway, I lived a heavy, restless life before deciding—at 57—to take early retirement and move to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, just because I liked the name. Turns out, I was pleasantly surprised—the country is peaceful, the people are warm, and life flows with the Mekong. These days I smoke my pipe, listen to music, and enjoy the simple things as often as I can.
