Biblical rest is a very unique kind of rest. While the world may think rest is something you have to wait for at the end of a long day at work, biblical rest has to do with something else completely.  Biblical rest is present while you're at work, not just after work. We can have biblical rest even in the storms of life.  Entering into this biblical rest starts with our relationship with Christ. When we are growing in our relationship with Christ we are learning to rely on Christ more than ourselves and the things of this world.  Our trust in God and how he is working in our life is key to having biblical rest, we don’t have to be in turmoil because of the situations in our life or the situations in the world, we can rest in God’s promises.  Entering into God's rest is something we can have now, not just something we can look forward to in the future.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ; I’m a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a very blessed man.  I also love writing songs that praise our God and our Lord Jesus Christ for all they have done for me.  If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I hope you hear or read something here that helps you.  After all, that’s the reason I do what I do.  If I had a cure for cancer and withheld it from someone who was going to die without it, I would be a miserable schmuck of a man.  I have something that is so much better than a cure for cancer, I have Jesus Christ, and you can have Him too.  

Just as an aside note, I had a motorcycle accident in 2019, my injuries included an injury to my spinal cord which affects mainly my arms and hands, so mainly my guitar playing, so please don't expect greatness, but you'll get the gist.  I've also had some very bad acid reflex problems which has apparently affected my vocal cords, meaning from time to time you will hear differences in my vocals that I can not control.   That being said;

Here is the bottom line of everything you will ever need to know: 
EVERYONE needs a savior!  and HIS NAME IS JESUS!  
Let’s start with how much God loves you.  God’s Love:  God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. (John 3:16)  God’s Plan:  “I have come that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) Why then are most of us not experiencing this abundant life?  The reason has to do with sin; sin is what keeps us separated from God.  We Are All Sinful:  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. (Rom 3:23)  We were created to have fellowship with God, but because of our stubborn self-will, we chose to go our own way, and our fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is what the Bible calls sin.  We Are Separated:  “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This death separates us from God spiritually, and it must be dealt with.  Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can truly know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.  He Died in Our Place:  “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).  He Rose From the Dead:  “Christ died for our sins ... He was buried ... He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures ... He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).  He Is the Only Way to God:  “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me’” (John 14:6).  God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty (the wages we earned) for our sins.  Each of us must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; that is the only way we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.  We Must Receive Christ:  “As many as received Him, to them He gave   the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).  We Receive Christ through Faith:  “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).  When we receive Christ, we experience a new birth.  We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation:  Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20).  Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.  “If you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Rom 10:9, 10).
