This set has been in development for a long time. Originally arranged for 2024 campout season, it was shelved for nearly a year. More tracks were acquired and integrated in 2025, abd a bunch that were originally in didn't make the final cut. I've been taking some time off from DJing while learning to play guitar and pursue other creative outlets, but I felt the inspiration to dust off the decks and finally get this set finished. The Milestone Fellowship was a retro-themed birthday party about a secret society which had formed around the world through letter writing and written support and friendship. The First Gathering, held in 1940, was its first in-person gathering since its inception in response to the growing need for community and support in uncertain times.

I wanted to try something a little different, a set that was appropriate to the theme and times we were emulating yet fun and danceable. What started out planned as a funky/retro breaks set turned into my first drum and bass set or as it's known by some, "Swing 'n' Bass". Enjoy!

I had a rough week and I wanted some music that would make me feel better. I'm also about to leave for Burning Man in a few days and I've been collecting and organizing a bunch of tracks for various situations and moods.
One of my favorite times of day at BM is sunrise. It's such a wonderful transition from the darkness and intensity of sound and fire to the light. I've tried to capture that here with some deep, lush tracks, building up to the brightness and joy of a new day.
