Yared “Boomdraw” Lee is a self-taught Producer/DJ from Jamaica whose sonic palette is heavily inspired by the sounds of 90s hip hop. His father, owner of Kingston Dub Club, immersed him in reggae from an early age and he carries that love for music by pushing the boundaries of Jamaica’s musical landscape through his work. Through his curated playlist series, New Sounds of Jamaica, he shows his listenership that the island's music cannot simply fall into the binary of just reggae or dancehall, and that its new artists create multi-faceted music.
