HAFS (standing for Hate At First Sight) is the name of the last techno project of Maël Capilla Sanchez from Brussels, Belgium. He used to grow up playing acoustic jazz and classical music. He slowly decided to move onto techno deejaying from 2017.

His sets are made on a strange way: harsch, rhythmic, melodic, full of drums, passionate and dark. The styles are most of the time rave and industrial. In general, HAFS always looks far beyond in his style with music exceeding the standards.

We can say HAFS’ Techno style is influenced by producers like Brecc, Electrorites, Gijensu, Ryuji Takeuchi, WarinD & Endlec.

The idea behind his project is to make sets that sounds longer that they actually are with hypnotic melodic effects and harmonies.

The DJ was invited in various big events like LaMonarch Paris, in bars like the famous Berlin - inspired Liebe on Montmartre (Paris) and the Barrio cafe in Brussels.
He has collaborated with event crews like Optimal Bass (Belgium), Distorsion events, part of Chill2chill (Belgium) and Hard Kapital (Colombia), Lbat (Lille, France), Rumba & co (Leuven, Belgium)
HAFS has travelled to Russia in December 2022 to play in Moscow for Monasterio.
In addition to that, HAFS has already taken over various techno podcast shows like Monasterio Chamber Podcasts, Techno Cartel, earlier in 2020: Shifted Radio (podcast channel of the Flesh and Hammers label) based in Los Angeles US, Beastmode Kollektiv (Frankfurt), Voltkick (emergent Belgian techno crew) and Tracks Insanas, Brazil in 2021 (techno label based in Goiânias, Brazil), Substantiv Techno, among others …
HAFS is actually the son of the mexican versatile & experimented artist Candido Capilla. In parallel with his techno activities, Maël and his father run a Latin folkloric music band show with the collab of other artists. 

Finally, fresh mixes, international surprising tour dates, crew collabs, event hosting and maybe (why not?) his first track release is what you can expect from him.

My name is Balrog (real name Alex) and I am a DJ and Producer from Leeds in the north of the UK.

• What are your artistic influences apart from electronic music ?
I listen to a very wide range of music but mostly heavy metal and rock is my go too, but I also love Hip-Hop, Disco, funk, soul and everything in between.
Just no country music !

• What track would you have liked to produce ?
Thats an interesting question awould say my favourite techno track is Samba Del Costa by Max Walder, to be able to say that was my track would be something very special.

• What are your wishes for the future ?

INDUSTRIAL GROOVE IN YOUR NOSTRILS 

Khazad Records is the brainchild of label chief Balrog. 

The concept of the label was born out of a desire to release hard, industrial, and grooving techno, while also providing a platform for the best young producers to showcase their talent. In doing so, this will hopefully enable the further development of this style of industrial enthused grooving techno.

Khazad Records is a wholly inclusive collective. For this reason, every attempt will be made to ensure an even as possible gender balance of artists. In doing so we hope to address the gender imbalances that are still ever-present within the techno scene. 

As well as showcase the hottest talent in the scene right now, the label will also hope to unearth the future stars of the scene through a fully open demo policy:

- All demos will be listened too but must be sent to our email, this may mean that it takes some time for us to respond but rest assured we will get back to you and make every attempt to offer constructive advice if the demo does not suit the label.
- Tracks DO NOT need to be mastered before sending, we are looking for raw talent not the final product.
