That Thing moaned and groaned lazily in the darkness, as if in pain. Not glyphid, not rockpox- at least I don't think so... And fast, it was impossibly fast. Took out two of us immediately, crushing one and dragging another into the darkness, all we heard was screams and bone cracking...

When we were finally able to shoot a flare next to it we saw... Gods, its face... its massive, distorted dwarven face, so twisted as to be unrecognizable, but I'd recognize it anywhere. The nose, that damn braided beard, now impossibly elongated and turning into tentacles. How could this place turn him into that? all we knew is... somehow we had to kill him.

And that's what I'm doing, right now. *two digital beeps are heard in the background, as well as unnatural moans far away* Rescue Team's Engi told me how to arm this thing, Unkhar's something-or-other. Our only luck was when it consumed Driller... all the sudden rockpox blisters started sprouting from the Thing's body, new tentacles started trying to tether it to the rock below... I see it right now, dragging its disgusting mass here for another tasty dwarf snack
