Belgian born and Halle (Saale) resident, Max Phal, also known as Gobo, is a vinyl only DJ and producer whose musical style hovers between many shades of electronic music, ranging from deep dubby house sounds to straight techno. Only one rule dictates his musical selection: the music shall not be made to appeal to the masses. In the recent years, he has become an active member and DJ resident of the “Unterdruck” collective in which he helps shaping the underground music scene of his beloved hosting city Halle (Saale).

The crowd sways, eyes closed, lost in the rhythm. It’s not just music; it’s a collective memory—a celebration of movement.

The mix evolves, seamlessly transitioning from the latest chart-toppers to timeless gems. Synthesizers shimmer like disco balls, recalling Studio 54’s heyday. Vocal samples—snippets from '90s hits—float in and out, triggering euphoria. The kick drum is a time-traveling beat, propelling you from Daft Punk to Donna Summer. The dance floor becomes a vortex of nostalgia and ecstasy. You’re not just dancing; you’re rewriting history. The strobe lights flicker, catching glimpses of sequined dresses and high-tops. I played DJ for the first time when I was 13 years old, and I have loved EDM ever since. At some point started to produce, back then there was still a lack of money for the right, expensive hardware, now in the software age and more experience it works better.
Have already released a couple of productions. 
Now I've landed on Dubtechno and had some releases. 
I've already made remixes for Superordinate Dub Waves, Ignition Coil and Matt Schulz, for example.  
Also made some Dub mixes for HeloStrange, mercyTechno...
