About thirty years ago, I lived on a boulevard with incessant and very noisy road traffic. This artery was used dozens of times by emergency vehicles going to the emergency room near my home. And to top it off, the rooms of the apartment I rented were adjoining the delivery dock of a supermarket. Hell!
My next door neighbors were an elderly couple who had lived there forever. When I asked them if the noise didn't bother them, they both replied "Ah but not at all! We're used to it and we couldn't live without it, that reassures us!"
You will therefore have understood that this burlesque blues is for them who would certainly not have supported living in the countryside.

Il y a plus de trente ans, j'ai habité sur un boulevard au trafic routier incessant et très bruyant. Cette artère était empruntée des dizaines de fois par les véhicules de secours qui se rendaient aux urgences près de chez moi. Et pour combler le tout, les chambres de l'appartement que je louais étaient mitoyennes avec le quai de livraison d'un supermarché. L'enfer!
Mes voisins de palier étaient un couple de personnes âgées qui vivait là depuis toujours. Quand je leur est demandé si le bruit ne les dérangeait pas, ils m'ont répondu tous les deux "Ah mais pas du tout! On a l'habitude et on ne pourrait plus s'en passer, ça nous rassure!"
Vous aurez donc compris que ce blues burlesque est pour eux qui n'auraient certainement pas supporté de vivre à la campagne.

A gray morning when I returned from a long sleepless night, in the garden, half-closed eyes, pockets and empty head…I lost my keys, door closed, no way back.
A stray dog passed me and walked slowly, looking at me…he said: “I'm your friend and I can help you. I know someone who will help you find your keys. Wait for me, I'll get the black cat ... The Black Cat knows!”

I waited there for too long and I suddenly felt a cold wind in the back who was swinging the flowers as if it was their last dance… The door wide open then invited me : "You can go home, you should get some rest…” Sitting in the kitchen, the rising sun guided me to the keys that were on the table. Tonight, I'll thank who knows where I lost my keys. The Black Cat Knows.

By layering together a piano-driven melody with a deep bass line and uplifting synth arrangements, EDX manages to create a remix of “Catchfire” that walks a fine line between punchy club construction and summertime anthem, finding a perfect middle ground.

Coming off of performances at EDC Las Vegas and Paradiso, EDX looks to continue his steady rise to the top of the totem pole with quality release after quality release, and a rigorous touring schedule that has him playing high profile nightclubs, and major festivals around the globe on his ongoing “Want You” tour. In the past six months alone, EDX has a Beatport chart-topper to his name with his remix of Sons of Maria and Nora en Pure’s “Uruguay,” and he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. With a highly anticipated single on the way, the future is bright for EDX.

Here is a new track that I think pretty well done and I like a lot ... After a very hip-hop introduction, involved the violins, the pad, funky guitars, xylophone that sounds as crystal, bass, the effects and voice (at the end) that blend perfectly and give a catchy track. Your turn to judge! :)
