Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

Alidad is a London-based DJ with nearly two decades behind the decks, known for weaving together rich, rhythm-driven sets that move across cultures and moods.

His sound blends deep grooves, melodic layers, and percussion-led energy — drawing inspiration from African, Latin, Middle Eastern, and minimal influences. Each set is its own journey: expressive, eclectic, and built to keep people moving.

Alidad has played at iconic venues including Fabric, E1, The Steel Yard, and Loft Studios, with past residencies at Bacanal, Roxx, and RVLRY. From open-air festivals to late-night rooms, his focus stays the same: create something real, something that moves.
